Ha ha yes I realised that once I started to piece it together. I assembled the sides then started to assemble the rear section and as I was looking, it dawned on me that it would never get through my patio doors. I gave up and I'm going to start again on Sunday when I have a day off

Hi ive got a old greenhouse at the end of my garden, every pane of glass is a different size, metal frame, i think i have to take out all the glass and grind the frame and paint it, glass is very expensive to replace , could I just replace with lenghts of corrugated sheets? or would someone suggest something else?
        thanks colin DSC_0002.JPG

That's a fairly big job you've got there;) I would take out, carefully, the good panes of glass and save them. Even plastic twin walled sheets are not going to be inexpensive so I would perhaps think about using the old glass as much as possible in one area of the Green House even if the sizes are different. Plastic sheeting is fine but the bigger the area the more wind resistance there is, so they need to be securely fixed with maybe diagonal struts across the sheet to stop them blowing inwards. Quite a few of our members has plastic paned Green Houses so they may be able to advise you with the benefit of their experience.:coffee::snorky:

Ahhhhhh:scratch: I've built the sides, front and rear sections and OMG!! It's so difficult to fix together. My Dad was supposed to help but he couldn't be here today to help so I've tried to do it myself. It's impossible with only one pair of hands. I'm going to try again tomorrow with a helping pair of hands... cheers Dad your amazing

That's interesting how you put the entire frame together before installing the glass. The frames look very similar to the ones in my palram however the steel has channels that run the length of the piece.

These polycarbonate ones need the lower frame and sides are put together and the panels slid down into the channels before assembling the roof frame. That is why I was trying to get around putting the louvres in one of the sides - I would need to take the whole roof off to do it.

Are you going to be using some kind of clip to hold the glass in place?

Hi Lori, yes the glass is held in position with clips and there is a rubber seal on the inside of the glass. I'm planning on glazing the frame tomorrow
