Storm Doris killed a woman in Wolverhampton

I had to pull off the road for an hour, struggling to keep in the same lane :yikes:

Found a usb cable and uploaded me pics for the report :phew: Now I can't find where the report has saved to :gaah:

        Good afternoon fellow WW'ers :spinning:

Maybe call the surgery and give your GP a bit of a nudge and then he can call the Consultant again to chase it up. :grphg:

Me too!!! :hate-shocked: But then, I supposed feeding him 14 times his allowance of that product might have had something to do with it :heehee: He's not massively overweight, but, he is a naturally big dog and as the nurse highlighted, being a big dog anyway means I need to be extra careful with his weight so no extra pressure is put on his joints - which is fair enough really. He did weigh in at 63 kilos
This is a photo I took of him back in January and, although it is in the early morning shot, in shadow, I suppose his tummy *could* be a little ... less

        Jan 2017 006.jpg

I think I'm going to book myself a table for lunch at Chez Woo! I'm enjoying reading your menu, always looking and sounding delicious!

Been out most of the morning shopping (I dislike shopping; I dislike online shopping even more, so it is the lesser of two evils :heehee: ) but the cupboards and freezer and now full once again. I need to do some batch baking/cooking next week so I can fill the freezer back up with some cooked goodies.

I did buy some little 89p seed starter wotsits from an el cheapo shop, sort of like an elongated egg box with little discs in it that you rehydrate then plant your seeds into. This year the shop was also selling pouches of 40 of the disc thingies so I bagged a couple of those too. I'll be seed planting soon (the discs are busy hydrating as I type).

@Zigs glad you managed to sort out your camera/photo's for the report  I was also swerving from lane to lane this morning - but not due to Doris:heehee: There is a long stretch of dual carriageway which has a speed limit of 40mph and variable speed cameras all along it. Well, it was such a sun shiney morning and the scenery was very pleasant so I stuck to the speed limit (Mr "M" was also a passenger so I had to be on my best behaviour  ). Anyway, the point was reached where I was the only person on the my side of the dual carriageway for as far as I could see both ahead and behind. So, feeling a little bit devilish (and in time to the music = multitasking!) I gently swerved to the right, then swerved to the left before swerving to the right again - lovely little meandering movement I thought :heehee: Mr "M" was *not* impressed and ordered asked me to stick to just the one lane ;) Spoil sport  :heehee:

Smiles and vibes for all xxMxx

Heard from the hospital, I am to go next Wednesday for further blood tests. Lets hope that will be all they require.

So relieved to hear that you have been contacted by the hospital; I'll be thinking of you on Wednesday :fingers crossed:

@Zigs ... surely you can think of a more pleasant way to get the attention of a lady then waiting for one to drive into you! :heehee: Good job no one was hurt, that's the main thing.

                      Aloha everyone,

Mrs Shiney is just a bit better bit still extremely tired so it will be a day of rest before we go to a Carnival tonight. That should cheer her up. :blue thumb:

This is 'Manha de Carnival' from the famous Brazilian musical Black Orpheus. :)

Keep well and have a great day

Morning all, hope everyone is well.

Yesterday at work was spent mostly clearing up debris and fallen trees from Thursday's storm. The garden at home seems to have survived unscathed, so that's good. :)

We're going to view a house today. It looks like a nice place, it's in the right area and it has a large garden too, so could be just what we're looking for. :fingers crossed: We've been in our present house for nearly 29 years now and it's time to move on.

If the weather stays fine this weekend I'm planning to give the greenhouse glass its annual clean and wash down. It'll be seed sowing time soon so those new seedlings will start with as much light as possible.

                          Have a good weekend.

                              Good day everyone
Well, after my yawn yawn message yesterday, I went out and put the roof panels in the greenhouse. In the rain. My jammie bottoms were wicking up the water from the deck and by the time I got through, they were soaked to the ankles. I figured I might as well get wet before my shower rather than after. :)

It's foggy out there today and a little cooler and we're expecting it to stay this way until tomorrow's sunshine and then Monday is going to be sunny again and in the 40's. With that in mind, I'm going to try to get my inside chores done today and tomorrow morning so I can grab every moment of sunshine I can :)

Have a safe day everyone :)
