It was originally written based on the teachings of people who knew what they were on about. In making rules about we we should eat, who we should have 'relations' with etc, someone figured that it was not good to get food poisoning or spread disease through the village when there's always something other tribe that wants a fight so everyone needs to stay strong.

It was easy to just say 'god said' than to try to explain to people that may have been of limited intelligence that poisoning and disease is bad.

We should swap restaurants - I find most places over cook it. If I order a steak "bloody as hell" more often than not it is rare at best and frequently best described as medium rare.

There is a problem here as they over cook meat so t'other half orders 'muito mal passado' ... translation is very badly cooked, real translation is rare and the chefs love it and so does he. Winner all round! I rarely eat meat but love turkey breast in mushroom sauce and it is cooked to perfection.

                      Isn't proper donner meat goat?

Most donner meat is just random bits of roadkill of course. There's probably bits of rabbit, crow, hedgehog, the odd badger in there, a couple of pigeons perhaps. But I think if you're lucky enough to get proper donner meat, I'm pretty sure it's goat.

I tried being veggie, failed miserably. I like chicken and bacon way too much. Both in a sandwich is heaven.

In most cases it is but you can also get beef or chicken ones. The majority of kebab shops buy their Doners from one of the main suppliers who have strict hygiene and quality control and they use meats from controlled farms.
