    Yesterday we were about to catch our flight home from a 7 day holiday. In the departure lounge was a screaming brat (his mum told him he couldn't have any more sweets) and I could see the look on everyone's faces hoping they wouldn't be sitting near him on the plane.

    I'm thankful that he was at the front of the plane and we were at the back :snorky:

    Apparently, when the plane banked to the right quite sharply just after take-off (the captain had announced he would be doing it) the mum told the brat (who didn't like the manoeuvre) that he had put the pilot off with his screaming and he had better be quiet for the rest of the flight. It worked. :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

      Well bless my soul! It appears we are experiencing good customer service, here's my story;
      I ordered my prescription on Monday (4 items) mother out law went to fetch the said prescription on Tuesday, the pharmacy assistant was dam right rule & told her the prescription wasn't ready, she agreed to go back on Wednesday, she picked up the prescription & delivered to me...i hadn't had time until yesterday to check it, (I still had enough meds to keep me going) not only have I been given the wrong inhalers :gaah: But stapled to my prescription was someone else's prescription!! Including name, address & full details of her meds :nonofinger: in a world of data protection how has this happened? This morning I rang my GP surgery & asked to speak to the practice manager....what a lovely man, so polite & full of apologies he has promised me he's going to look into what's happened & try to locate the other half of my prescription paperwork! & speak to those involved to make sure this doesn't happen again...I have been more than reasonable & said that I fully understand that the dispencery is so busy & after all mistakes happen, I don't want to cause any trouble but I can't have my full name, address & medication details being issued out with someone else's meds! I have to go to the surgery this morning to drop off the meds...hopefully I will be issued with replacements. It was so refreshing to speak to the practice manger & receive such good customer service.

      Update....I've been to the surgery & again I've had fantastic customer service....I've had four apologies, my meds have been replaced too...I think the ladies in the pharmacy have been ticked off which I didn't really want to happen but this is quite a serious mistake....I'm not taking it any further I just hope the other half of my prescription is soon returned & I will not have any additional grief on the back of this!

          Well, I've just finished a series of negotiations with BT over our Broadband contract after pointing out that their latest itemised bill didn't make any sense.

          We have come to an amicable agreement over charges. Our phone lines (we only have two now) are on Line Rental Saver (discount for paying a year in advance and a few other things thrown in for nothing) with unlimited landline calls. So that was agreed.

          The Broadband charge was supposed to be £20 per month to include unlimited usage. We have finally agreed on £8 per month but a contract for 24 months (don't mind 24 months at that price).

          Also, we will get paper bills free of charge instead of £1.90 per month.

          Thank you, BT. :dbgrtmb:

            My wife. It is 20 years today when we first met. She was suprised that I remembered, but I have just been caught out as she realised that she wrote it in big letters on the calendar. I got the subtle hint.

            Not sure if the brownie points still count now.

                I am grateful that I go to bed without a guilty conscience. I am not religious but try to live good moral and ethical standards. Sometimes I'm not as generous as I'd like to be but for the most part I walk a straight line.

                And today I got a lot of fresh air, a good work out and nearly 13 hours of sunlight !

                  You most certainly do. :dbgrtmb:

                  You get them first, for noticing (although writ large), second, for taking them in to your tiny male mind and third, for acting upon it. :hapydancsmil: :snorky:

                  I think I should get extra points as I was sorting out some washing when I noticed. Multi tasking brownie points :scratch:.

                  I think I will stop whilst I seem to be ahead :smile:.

                              Today I am grateful for life and the people around me and for every second of it. Today I found out that a close childhood friend committed suicide and I'm gutted. Lots of memories flooding back. I wish things could have been different for him. I wish he didn't feel that desperate.
