A Question on Saws ?

    Centimetres are good for teaching the metric system to young kids. A millimetre is far too small for kids who are still a long way off developing fine motor skills, and of course metres are too big, being about as big as the kids starting to learn it.

    I remember using little wooden cubes, each 1cm cubed. Putting them together in different configurations to learn the maths of volume and elementary geometry.

    I presume they still teach kids in a similar way.

        Only if you want it PAR, ie. planed up it will be 45 x 45 mm, ie. 1 3/4 ins square.:biggrin:
