I have to say, there are some remarkable entries submitted in the January comp already.....probably the best since I've been contributing.
Just goes to show what a good title choice does.

 

Eleven entries and only eight votes for the February comp oh come on GC. Here's to March then..

But you're forgetting FloraPie, the allotment competition is nothing to do with Gardeners Corner.

 

So why does the blurb state:

... if it is nothing to do with Gardeners Corner?

 

But isn't the allotment competition only running on Facebook? Many members of GC don't like Facebook, so for them it's not part of Gardeners Corner.

 

That doesn't mean the competition isn't part of GC - that simply means it isn't for those GC members who do not like Facebook ergo entry into the competition *is* part of GC for those members who *do* like Facebook.
The competition is running on Facebook *and* on GC as a joint venture ... here's the thread ... where numerous people have subsequently joined GC (as per the requirements of the competition):

As you can see, people may find the competition on Facebook but can not enter the competition unless, or until, they have registered here at GC.
To my mind, that means it is everything to do with GC
If some GC members do not like Facebook, that is their personal choice regarding Facebook and not related to their GC membership.

 

Ok, so I may have worded it wrongly, but from what I see it is about Facebook and allotments, and getting people to join GC who have them or getting people from GC to join Facebook.

 

That just reads as an advertisement for GC to me.
