I am utterly fed up with motorists being continually painted as the bad guys, particularly when it comes to accidents between any motor vehicle and a bicycle. Yes, there are bad drivers on the roads, and yes there are also those who make genuine errors that can have serious consequences, but it is high time that the cycling lobby and transport authorities realise that cyclists are equally responsible for the issues that arise on our roads, and they too should be dealt with legally.

My frustration with this has reached such a point that I have this evening done something that I never thought I would do, and that is create a YouTube channel where I intend to post videos highlighting some of the exceptionally poor behaviour that I see day in and day out on our roads.

The audio on this, my first fully public YouTube video, has been muted due to conversation and music in the car.

You mean, you were not only listening to the radio but talking to a passenger as well.
Sounds like a hanging offence to me.

Thanks @clueless1 - I must admit, I am very new to the whole video making thing and probably won't be uploading masses as I tend to traverse the same roads day in and day out, but I also think that it might be interesting even as a sort of diary of the sheer number of things happening.

It is all very spur of the moment really, but I suppose I could show the good the bad and the ugly of motorists and cyclists alike?

I was actually swearing like a trooper about the eejit on the bike, and muttering something about natural selection @pete.....

I am quite sure that if PC plod were to view the video, it would somehow be my fault for the cyclists behaviour and then he would go off to devise some new tax to hit motorists with.....

Dunno. I only ever did one youtube video myself, but took it down again the next morning when sober :)

It's up to you how you go about it. If you just post the odd video, probably only those that you tell about it will see it, but I believe that if you do a few, and get likes and subscriptions, then your videos will start to show up in the recommended ones. Eventually you might even start getting dosh, if adverts get embedded but I'm not sure how that works.

Was it you who commented @clueless1?

I'm not intending it to go all huge with adverts and stuff - I seriously doubt that there would be that many people interested in videos I upload ; it is a handy way to share videos with family and friends though.

                      No.

EDIT: Looks like someone promoting their own channel by commenting everywhere, this circulating their name. Seems to be a music video channel featuring infeasibly finely crafted womenfolk.

Aye, I have subscribed in case I need copyright free music in the future, but I have a feeling that I will stick to the YouTube stuff as they make it kinda easy.
