I've been selling for charity a vast amount of different herbaceous plants for my "pet" charity. I have exceeded my wildest dreams, made over £1000 and counting but have had to bite my lip on many occasions with the know it alls who know nothing!
Today I had a right 1 who was giving it large and then I discover they only have pots to fill and no garden. Well not everybody is lucky to have a garden but why make out you've got acres when you've got 4 pots needing something?
I'd had this idiot up to the eyeballs and so was a bit naughty! I suggestd the perfect plant for 1 of his pots would be a chunk of Cephalaria gigantea:lunapic 130165696578242 5::lunapic 130165696578242 5::lunapic 130165696578242 5::lunapic 130165696578242 5:. I have absolutely no idea how big it will grow in a pot but the chunk he bought reached at least 8 ft last year hhhhhhaaaaaa!!!!! How I kept a straight face I don't know. I am full of admiration for @shiney who has an open garden/plant sale every year. I have been near to committing murder a couple of times over the last few days, if I did this on a regualr basis I'm positive I'd be behind bars by now having smashed someone's head in with a gardening fork.

No no no. Everybody knows you need a shovel for that. A fork is if you want to spike the foot.

Funny you should say that @noisette47 . I am actually selling Ground Elder BUT the variegated variety, it does make a very nice ground cover plant and isn't very invasive at all. Most people have reacted with:yikes: but a few have trusted me:). I originally got a small pot of it years ago from an open garden through the "yellow" garden scheme.Probably the best open garden I have been to in Scotland. My garden, however hard I try will never look like that 1..gorgeous with such clever design without having spent a fortune.

You must spend hours @ARMANDII looking for the appropriate pictures to fit the subject. On this occasion you are well off target. The "he" woman is the spitting image of me except I have invested in a new bra so no sagging boobage:snorky:

You shouldn't have to bite your lips, just think of all the good that you are doing rising that money for charity :dbgrtmb:

I have 5 people coming to buy things today, It's gloriously sunny which will improve my mood (a couple of days last week I thought I was going to die from hypothermia while digging up plants). I will do a bit of deep breathing/zen and hopefully keep my temper if any of my "visitors" are complete planks. I have now realised that it was a very smart move on my behalf (purely by chance) to have had a mail order business.I never had to actually meet in person any of my customers, so could make faces at them down the phone while being so so very charming:).

How did you now I just adore Minions @ARMANDII ? and 1 of my all time favourite films is Despicable Me. Not exactly high brow but who cares. I've had to endure my fair share of Chaucer and Milton neither of which create too many belly laughs!

@silu - You are indeed not dreadful i.e. you do not instill dread. Wicked or evil are probably better descreptions :snork:.

Seriously though and joking aside, you've raised a lot of money for your animal charity. Credit where it is due :dbgrtmb:

And by helping to raise the funds, you've discovered a niche in the postal market. Sounds like Lady Karma is on your side and it is well-deserved. :love30:

P.S. Has anyone got any sickbags going spare. I hate being nice.:phew:
