      I can't imagine this technique makes any measurable difference if it did then farmers would use it. My father used to grow 40 acres of maincrop and the extra work of peeling off the rose end off tons and tons of seed potatoes would have been impossible. Maybe these days seed potatoes are shipped off to china for processing and shipped back again :)
