An interesting fact, that I didn't know, was when I phoned my garage about the replacement clutch cylinder for my car. The Mechanic told me that he'd been sent the wrong part and said the reason why was that my Ford CMax has a Peugeot engine and gearbox!! So I checked on the Net and found it is common practice for Ford, Citroen, Peugeot, Vauxhall and in some Jaguars.:hate-shocked::scratch: Ford, on some models, does some small modification to the engines but otherwise it's the same engine.

The best good news that I can come up with is that they will last a long time if you dont use your lights. :snork: Seriously, its a more noticeable problem here due to the fact that we are forced by law to have daytime headlights.

Thats because they are made by PSA which is a Peugeot Group owned company. Even some Fiats, BMW's use their engines...

BMW are no longer in partnership with PSA.

@rustyroots almost correct. Some 1-series and 3-series BMW's still use their engines, (the "Prince" series) although they are in the process of being phased out.

Went over to the hospital this morning with Mr K to have another dressing change and have my foot checked to make sure it is healing ok:smile:

Saw the surgeon who did the op and he is satisfied as to how Chooky Egg is healing although he thinks the part where the bunion used to be is still a bit swollen but wasn't too concerned.I was more concerned when the nurse started pulling off a piece of skin from off of my toe when she was taking the J cloth dressings off of my toe with the "K" wire sticking out of it:yikes:

Still not allowed to go outside for at least another two weeks when I have to go back for X-rays and to have the wire pulled out:yikes:

It is a good job I had the op when I did as the surgeon has his arm in a sling due to him tripping over and breaking his collar bone.Hope he wasn't in the middle of doing an op when the accident happened.

Mr Kandy overheard the receptionists talking to the surgeon earlier about his having to cancel his forthcoming holiday as his fly fishing arm is of no use to him for the time being:biggrin:

While Mr Kandy was out walking later on I did a bit of gardening by leaning out of the conservatory window and watering a couple of big pots full of Lily's that Mr Kandy forgot to water the other day.

I really can't wait to get back outside in the fresh air but I expect it will rain continuesly by then:sad:

They are phased out. I worked on the project for BMW. No longer in production assembly line gone.

I got my car back today:hapfeet::hapydancsmil::snorky: It was the Clutch Cylinder that had failed and the Garage who have looked after all my cars over the past 20 years or so know how I think. So while the gear box was separated from the engine they renewed the complete clutch without informing me. When I arrived to collect the car one of the Mechanic told me, a bit nervously because he knew I hadn't been told, what they had done, while Brian the owner of the Garage stood in the entrance grinning:heehee: It was exactly what I would have said "Yes" to as it meant a clean start and the car had got the full treatment so the Mechanic was relieved to see a Customer wasn't going to blow their top!!:snorky: The car drives sweetly now and it's good to be back behind the whell!!

I don't have a dog, but I know they like rolling in all manner of disgusting stuff.:hate-shocked::lunapic 130165696578242 5:.

Captive hedgehog poo smells worse than wild hog poo because of the foods we give them. The hogs produce soft, brown poos as a result, which are quite pungent :eeew:. :eeew:. Especially at close quarters when preparing and studying test samples.:lunapic 130165696578242 5:. And when the poo is starting to degrade. Hogs are also amazing poo flickers, being able to achieve a range of 3-4 feet :hate-shocked: :lunapic 130165696578242 5: :lunapic 130165696578242 5:
