Well I am exhausted. Apart from running around to shops and dog groomers, i took my nervy pup into the garden centre and she did really well....and I got some great bargains.

Bought a nice clematis and potted it up. image.jpeg

Bought 6 raspberry pink achillea plants and planted them. Bought 2 more hostas and filled the troughs. Bought two ferns I still need to pot up. Got 5 big bergenia plants that were reduced to £2.45! and planted them too.

Also planted all my plants that had been in the cold frame the last few weeks....foxgloves, achillea, geums, sweet peas. My back and legs are aching tonight!

Yesterday I used up two mower tanks full of petrol mowing some of the grass. It was worth it as it looks good :dbgrtmb: It goes well with the new lawn edges. :)

Roger set fire to the huge mound of garden rubbish on front lawn yesterday. It was around 7 ft in height. He also cut down the large cactus type thing - don't know what its called but its horrid, so it definitely has to go. I cut away the long grass/ weeds from a Pieris, gave it a trim and a feed. Cleared a space under the Willow tree to be planted - what fun digging out Crocosmia bulbs are:th scifD36:. Strimmed grass in one of the rabbit runs.

Finally a couple of spare hours tonight.
So potted on the nicotania's, dahlias, daturas.
Edged the lawn and gave the yucca a trim.
Then set about removing the turf and various plants for the new patio area.
After 4.30am start this morning at work and a 12 hour shift I'm ready for a sit down.

Started to tidy up my patio.. it became a dumping ground over autumn/winter

Rosebay willow herb has invaded most of my pots..

Potted up agapanthus, canna, ornithogalum, hostas, crab apple, wild cherry, elder, maple, cobnut and rowan. Pulled my old dahlias out of the shed.. 1 rotted, no idea which one as all the labels got soggy :(

Forgot about my asparagus and found this. Woop!

I only wanted to remove a few of my Lucifers, not all of them. I dug out a whole bed of them for someone I know who has ME a couple of weeks ago and it took me just over two hours :thud: :phew:.

Unfortunately, yes the bonfire was built too close to the Cherry tree, so I've probably lost it :cry3:. However, new saplings spring up all over the garden, so another will take its place. They grow quite quickly too. I cut down quite a few of them when we started on the front garden as they were too close to either the house or growing under the pine.

Repot Impatiens niamniamensis, sow Basil and Alderman ( maincrop pea).
Cut back Sinarundinaria nitidia away from fence so elderly neighbour cannot lean over and hack at it with garden shears.

I used to have a neighbour like that too, I had a Miscanthus which I planted to give us a bit more privacy. One year, it "died", convinced she hit it with weed killer

I'm lucky as my neighbours encourage my Climbing Roses, Clematis, Lilac, etc to spill over onto their side of the fences!!:heehee:

Not much in my own garden but plenty in my grandmothers in laws, She's 80 this year :Wino:
Roses and all shrubs trimmed back. Lawn cut and edged.
Greenhouse washed and 20 dahlia tubers potted up.

Tired out! Cleared the patio area, swept it all up, jeyes fluid and scrubbed it and then jet washered it. Love a good jet washing! :rolleyespink:
