Lovely photos again everyone, cheers me up so much:yay:

No photo to show you but as I stood on the doorstep this morning talking to Mr K next doors 1st House Martin of this year flew under their eves and was checking out the nest to see if it needs any repairs. It will now clear off for a few days now that the weather is set to the colder and then will return at some point with his mate and they will get on this years breeding.:yay:

I reckon the scout will be going off to feed on insects to build his strength up after his long flight home.I just hope and pray that the neighbours don't spot the birds and knock the nest down like they did two years ago.I did have to point out that it is against the law to disturbe the nests while they are breeding:whistle:

Brownsea Island yesterday, sunny all day but a cold wind stopped any high temperatures but the wildlife made up for it.

Some Sandwich Terns have arrived (from W Africa) to join the four that overwintered here.

Of course the squirrels were around and no sign of the Leprosy virus.
Sometimes they were only a couple of yards away from us.

Lovely pictures everyone. :dbgrtmb: Thanks for the Oystercatcher @strongylodon. Nahh, I think that's his brother this time. :snorky:

I've only had a glimpse of one red squirrel since I've been here let alone get a shot of one! I managed this pic today though. A Redshank? A lot of the sea birds look the same to me.:)

That's a lovely shot of the Redshank @Sheal I usually find them very wary compared to the Spotted Redshank which can be quite approachable.

It's a shame @wiseowl that some thoughtless idiot released the (non native) Terrapins into the wild, fortunately although they may live for twenty years or more, they cannot breed in our climate.

Thanks @strongylodon, I took that from about 100ft away with my bridge camera so I'm surprised it was actually in focus. :)
