Ours are feeding all the year round. I suppose that it's why we have so many of them living in the garden.

Maybe you dont have cats, or like loads of them.
I know you have your own, but around here it's like a cat sanctuary.

I do feed the cats as well, I know I shouldn't, but only once a day on a first come, first served basis.
Probably why I dont have many frogs these days as well.

Cats and birds share the food for the cats. :)

Oh yes, blackbirds and magpies all seem to love catfood.

Mine get nyjer (niger) seed and sunflower hearts, fat balls and a mixed seed which doesn't contain wheat, only pigeons (and possibly Shiney's pheasants) eat that.
Wilkos insect mix is mixed in or scattered on the lawn for the Pied Wagtails.

Catfood is put out for the Hodgeheg.

When my friend and I were first allowed to town on the bus we'd go into the market and buy 10p bags of bird feed for the pigeons and sing "Feed the birds, 10p a bag". Lovely memories!
On another note, went to see Mary Poppins in Cardiff back in December was a brilliant show :blue thumb:

Back to bird feed, I buy feed/balls from wilkos and fat cakes from the what shop.. my garden birds are scrubbers like me

I buy online from wwwgardenwildlifedirect.co.uk. My last order was just over £200 for suet pellets, dried mealies, granulated peanuts, sunflower hearts and peanut buttery. I buy fat balls in the winter months as well as the other foods. I've tried various seed mixes but no one seems to like it, except the Rats.

The left over hedgehog biscuits are eaten by Blackbirds, Crows, Magpies, a pair of Common Gulls and the Rats (if they can get there before birds scoff it ).
