That's me finished my sale for charity, hallelujah. What hard works it's been but so very worth it. I haven't totalled up all the money I have raised but it will be over £5000:yikes:. I can't believe that A I had quite so many plants I needed to shift (still have loads!) and B how an advertisment on Gumtree had attracted so many people.
I had my last buyer today (:fingers crossed: as I actually said I was ending it tomorrow) who went away with a huge BMW stuffed full of plants and £350 lighter in the pocket. The car's cream upholstery is going to take a hammering:heehee:. Everything was in bags but I had to water the plants in the bags as we have had no rain for about 6 weeks and I was worried they'd really wilt, especially as some were well into growth.
Parts of my garden now resemble a war zone but hey it can be fixed over the summer and I have achieved giving myself more space to grow vegetables.
Some of the buyers said they'd be back for more next year. "Hang on a cotton picking minute" thinks I, this is a 1 off unlike @shiney who does an amazing job for charity every year :love30:

            Amazing work @silu !

Went up plot with my dad, broke up the pallet composter, waged a war on the stinging nettles that took home in it..we won, fingers are still itching 4 hours later! 1/5 of the bed dug over and it started drizzling so we called it a day and took a full car of weeds and shoddy wood up to the tip.

Cwtching up on sofa waiting for F1 to come on now, lazy sunday afternoon :)

              A brilliant job @silu :yay: :love30:

Are you able to make the donation to charity as Gift Aid? You need to be careful about it but they can get an extra 25% from the tax man. PM me if you need any info.

IMG_8073.JPG IMG_8075.JPG At mums and been replanting the plants I removed from the patio area to other parts of the garden. Lavender into the sun in the front garden, hellebores in a shadier spot, begenia into more sunshine area, cotoniaster to another position along the fence, astilbe into more sun etc.

Cleared more space to put weed membrane down.

Same here but watching Four in a Bed! :)

Topped up Pots in bags, sown a few P/S/Broc seeds, potted on a few Toms and cooked Minty Lamb Roast for my Daughter & Grandaughter and watched the GP. No gardening on Monday off to watch football at Herne Bay.

Cajoled R into taking the beast to the front garden lawn area with the promise of clotted cream and fresh fruit scones. I use the term lawn optimistically:snorky: but its getting there. Cut grass in back garden and strimmed edges with my nifty new cordless grass cutter. Raked front grass. Planted a Sedum next to my mini pond. Watered the baths and a couple of pots. Scoffed said scones on patio :dbgrtmb:. Mrs Ratty flitting about but wouldn't come to the patio table as nervous of R. She's not scared of me, knows I will never harm her. I left her some scone.

When I lifted lid on water butt I discovered a honey bee floating in the water . I thought it was dead at first but saw a tiny leg move, so quickly fished it out. Sat on caravan steps with it on my glove until it dried off and warmed up. Will have to weight lid on butt down to prevent any gaps in future.

Again absolutely exhausted. Blood sweat and a lot of tears gone into todays work at my mums house. Got so wound up trying to put some edging in!

We decided to put wooden boards in along the grass edge as I was sick to death of repeatedly digging new edges because the grass and weeds have got out of control. Put a load more weed supressant down and used the remaining stones. Will be ordering anoher big bag to complete the task.

Pleased with the weekends work and the effort put in by my lovely mr snorky.

I carried on potting up the 6 cell trays while sitting on the patio. The only trouble was that it would keep lightly raining for a few minutes and then stop, so I had to retreat into the House and then, when it had stopped, get back to potting up. In the end I managed to pot up 33 more trays of Cosmos, 12 trays of Holly Hocks, 23 trays of Rudbeckia, 26 Trays of Scabious. I was going to have a mug of Tea and a sit down in the House but instead I laid some more turf at the bottom of the lawn leading to the Wildlife pond and then some in an area beside the Observatory..........then I had that mug of Tea.:coffee::heehee:
The skies have just cleared so I've been into the garage and dug out a sack full of some 30' long fleece and now all the seedling that are in the 6 cell trays are nicely covered up.:snorky:

Yep, it surprises me too, Sheal, as the borders keep getting wider and what with the building work for the Observatory base the lawn not only got smaller but took a beating as well. I bought a couple packets of "Lawn Repair" from Aldi's last month and it has taken around 6 weeks to work there is now new grass growing strongly in the areas where I sowed it:hapydancsmil:. I like to have a patch of green as it sets off the flowers and shrubs.:coffee::snorky:
