My "ability" or lack of shows up even more than normal if I follow you lot and your lovely photos with my pathetic offerings. I have only taken the photos to remind me how lucky I am to be able to grow such great plants which could be looking somewhat blow torched by tomorrow if the humdinger of a forecast frost materialises. I can almost hear my gorgeous plants groaning as I go round randomly snapping away with my camera phone. Poor things they are so lovely but oh boy can I make them look pretty god am awful!

Yet another which was going to be gorgeous but fear the worst. As I have often said gardening isn't always that easy but hey, not the end of the world!

 

Look like white Spanish Bluebells to me (I know that sounds Irish) if I'm looking at the right thing @Zigs. As I may have mentioned once or 100 times before on here they are my pet hate. I dig up 1000s every year yet there still seems just as many as when we moved here 16 years ago...groan.

 

I think because they are so accommodating we can be guilty of taking them for granted? I visited a friend in Texas a few years back and her next door neighbour was thrilled that she had managed to grow a couple to flowering stage. It's so hot and dry there it's nigh on impossible to grow them in that region.

 

Wet and Ireland have that fish and chips ring about it! Go over on a fairly regular basis as have relatives there (all bonkers but great fun). I'd be hard pressed to think of a time when I've been over and it wasn't either lashing out of the heavens or a "soft day" commonly known as drizzling.

 

The British climate is a real git at times

 

Like silu, I've been dashing round taking photos before plants a) get frosted or b) their leaves get destroyed by chemicals drifting in from the fields. There was a good set of almonds, apricots and peaches this year.... they survive the next few nights!

 

Lovely to see the blossom Silu and Noisette. Fingers crossed that there's no frost overnight.
