The cost of going to university is about to become even more expensive as a result of the Brexit vote, the former business secretary Sir Vince Cable has warned

I think that we two should head a panel that chooses which subjects are acceptable. :dbgrtmb:

I would doubt that, in the sense that they may continue to do so,Scrungee, but there would be no support from the General Public. The reaction from most of the Scottish public for Sturgeon's desire for a second independence referendum has been one of real dislike and reluctance.
I can't see any real desire in the Welsh, Irish and English public to accept the validity of another EU referendum and no political party is asking for one.:dunno: The only organisations trying to push the idea of a second referendum of those of commercial and financial interests who have strong profitable links with the EU. The call for a Snap General Election was a surprise to all but most of the public's reaction seems to have been one of "Oh no!!!, not another one" and I think that 90% have accepted that with Article 50 being activated there is no going back from BREXIT.:coffee::snorky:

Not really, pete. I don't think anyone, including the last leader [Nick Clegg] who said today that the Liberal Democrats were at the lowest ineffectual level, thinks they have any "clout" or any support from the Public. I must admit when Tim Farron talks I feel the same reaction that I get when Corbyn comes on the scene.

This is going to sound bad, but if it came down to it I'd go for Corbyn over Farron, (thanks I wondered what his name was), at least Corbyn is following a deluded principle and is not trying to be popular :snork:, and succeeding quite well.

Farron is just spouting what he thinks will make him sound good and appeal to a disillusioned voter.

Then we should have to have a revote on all of the Elections because some people didn't get the party they voted for :thud::wallbanging:

The only difference all this is going to make for me is that June the 8th is going to be another day when I have to open up the village hall at 6.30 a.m. and have to speak to (as little as possible) the old termagant (@Zigs word of the week?) that supervises voting in this Ward.

She always asks me to do things that are not my job and always gets the same answer "You've hired the room for your purpose and know the Terms of Hiring". :rasp:

Jeremy Corbyn is going to win the General Election!

His brother's revealed JC's cunning plan, he's going to use the same tactics as Donald Trump. If it worked for Trump, how could it fail to work for JC?
