Cold, hail, sleet, rain and a cold northerly wind. The frost sort of caught me out last night, went out at 11pm and It was snowing and made sure that everything was covered that needed covering. But when I got up this morning the covers had blown off the paulownia tree and tetrapanex and blackened all the leaves :gaah:
Temperature went down to -1.7'c and reached a balmy 8'c :phew:

It was snowing heavily just after midnight and the temperature was reading 0C/32F. Today it's been a mixture of sunshine and sleet showers with the temperature dropping 3 to 4 degrees during the showers. With those clearing away mid afternoon the thermometer rose to 9C/48F for a while.

It's interesting to see the daylight times in different areas. We had 15 hours and 1 minute today with sunrise at 5.42am and sunset 20.49pm.

This morning we had fine, misty rain showers followed by alternating cloud and sunshine for the rest of the day, 9C/48F.

After hail and strong winds yesterday we have a very frosty, and icy, morning but with bright sunshine and no wind.

Current temperature 31F (that's below freezing for you Centigraders) :snork:

Had a slight ground frost this morning, was much worse as I drove into work and saw the heavy frosts in some of the low lying villages.

Minus 0.2 deg C in the garden this morning.#

7 Deg C in my garden right now, lower than forecast, there's a chilly wind, it's raining, the sun's gone in and after potting on about 100 tomatoes in the greenhouse (where it's 12 deg C) and pricking out 100 Nicotania & 50 Statice, I've got thoroughly fed up and come indoors for a glass of wine, trouble is that it's not much warmer indoors than in the greenhouse, so I've now got to go back outside and cut some fire wood.

At least it was warm and sunny when I was rotovating at the plot for a couple of hours this morning.

Coldest morning for quite some time plus 1 c at dawn as the sun rose.
Ground frost and after a slight shower the night before there was quite a lot of white stuff around.

Some blue skies and some cloud, a gentle breeze and a couple of showers that last only minutes at a time. For a brief period the temperature rose to 53f and then slipped back to 52f. Right now the temperature is 46f and the pressure reading is 998hpa.:coffee::snorky:

Cloudy until mid afternoon then the sun came out to play until sunset. :) The weather should start to warm up from tomorrow but it's made a start today at 12C/54F.
