    Thanks @Silver surfer and @Zigs

I do actually want a couple more clumps further down the border...is not a good time to divide them? Or am I better off trying to grow from seed? :)

I have been amazed how much cheaper they have become over the past 20 or so years.
It is now possible to pick up gorgeous ones for £5.00 - £7.00.
Big garden Centres will always be expensive for named plants.
But there are now so many colours/spotted ones/ lovely nectaries/double ones etc etc ...most can just be called Helleborus x hybridus.

Why have 2 identical when you could have a different one?
Treat yourself next spring when you can see them in full flower.

@Silver surfer yep that is a sickly skimmia that was in the front garden....it was awful. Moved it in the shadier back garden which is also more acidic....also got another one here that has done well so going to be giving it tlc. Believe it or not it's actually looking loads better than it was.

I've had to move so many plants into better locations since moving here. The other chap didnt seem to have a clue!

(You can see the healthier skimmia in the back there)

We have some very healthy Skimmias and one sickly one. It's not far from the others so don't know what's wrong. I've put the sprinkler on it as we haven't had rain for 10 weeks.
