Our bed by the footpath is coming along but looks good in summer with lots of nice tall grasses as a backdrop.

Love the Hosta's Shiney. In such good health they look artificial. :) I'll now go and wash my mouth out for saying that! :snorky:

Some of the work we've been doing for our Open Garden in under two week's time. Getting things ready for sale

Hanging baskets are not for sale but we won't hang them until closer to the date as they're easier to water whilst on the ground

I have a reasonable collection of Perennial Poppies, alp, but none of them are flowering yet, they're budding up but not close to opening up. It looks like you know your stuff when it comes to gardening.:snorky:

A bit of a mix, which is typical of my garden:heehee:, .......Rhubarb, Alliums, Hostas, late flowering Daffodils, Japanese Anemones.

The 3 Clematis, Two Roses, 4 Honeysuckle on the side of the Abour are just starting to form, and flower, around the sides and front as I pictured them when I first built the Arbour.

@NigelJ - is that a grevillea behind your poppy?
Here are my contribution - Protea cynaroides in the greenhouse and diosma (coleonema) outside. Diosma picture is terrible- it is a stronger pink, and on a sunny day it sparkles. I recommend it - dead easy DiosmaSm.jpg PCynaroidesSm.jpg

Hi alp, well, I don't don't think the rest of the GC, of which you are a member, are gonna believe you"":heehee:

I get asked the question about the camera every now and then but, as I have said previously, I have seen better pics than mine taken with a really "low level" camera because the person taking the shots knew what they were doing.:dunno::snorky:
My camera is a Pentax K5 DSLR, which is "old hat" these days, but I really like it and have been a Pentax fan for "mumble, mumble" years.:heehee:. But if you look at a lot of the members pics, like Strongy, Sheal, and others:love30:, you will see they have the "eye" and intuitively understand their camera and what and how the image should look like before taking the shot.:coffee::snorky:

@CarolineL What a beauty the proteas is. I raised mine from seeds. So far, I have 1 tiny pair of true leaves. Half a year for me.

Then trust your instinct, as it's not letting you down in the garden.:snorky:

Well, the K5 is about 5 years old, alp, and immediately after I bought it they brought out the K2, the K2II, and now the King is the K3. The one thing about Pentax is that you can still use lenses they made over 40 years ago.......and I do!! I think the older "glass", some getting on over 30 years old, are better than some of the newer lenses so I have acquired 22 Pentax lenses in my collection and love 'em all:heehee:
