Manchester

Well, I am angry with a capital F - enough is enough now! The time for talking is over - action is needed, and needed now.

Let me be absolutely clear - those involved/responsible for this horrendous attack are not even human beings; they are not fit to be classed as such.

This has absolutely NOTHING to do with race, religion, colour or creed - NOTHING. I sat for a while this afternoon in the canteen at work, watching the news on the TV; the entire room was subdued, quiet, thoughtful..... and in that room with me were men and women of numerous backgrounds and religions, Christians, Muslims, Sikhs etc and some originally from countries outside the UK (we have a lot of Polish, Indian, Sri-Lankan, Vietnamese, Greek...... hell, they even let Scotsmen in the company!) ALL, bar none, were horrified and angered at the sheer inhumanity of last nights events.

The group that call themselves ISIS or Islamic State are abusing Islam in my opinion, as their actions are nothing at all to do with Islam that I can see. The group is nothing more than a virus or a disease to me, and it is time that this virus or disease was wiped out for once and for all. Our forebears did not lie back against the evil that was the Nazis - - so why the hell are we sitting on our hands now?

As a parent, indeed as a human being, I can only imagine the pain that the loved ones of the victims, and all the good people of Manchester are going through right now - they are all in my thoughts and my condolences extend to them all.

There but for the grace of whatever God, goes any one of us.

 

I have lots of friends in Manchester and I'm sickened at heart that mad hate can drive a person to kill innocent children and people. But I reckoned Tony Walsh summed up Manchester and it's people perfectly.

 

Aye, well it is time that a spade was a spade again - we are under threat, we are under attack, end of. Time to fight back.

 

Nah, that one was not imaginary mate - that was democracy.
