A few shots around the garden early this morning.

The herbaceous border - the dry spring we've had here this year seems to have prompted the plants to put on a good show, with irises, lupins and scabious being particularly prominent at the moment.

Thanks, it's nice to know how our plants get on. :dbgrtmb: The variegated version is a favourite of mine as it gives some brightness during the winter as well. :)

                    Some very banal flowers

How not to take photos - 1) Don't cast my shadow on the irises 2) don't show my McDonna hand

Thank you so much Aym. I've been admiring your Cistus & Alliums from a distance in Devon without my login details but now I've returned to see everything in full growth after the rain! Hoping you also received some last week. Weigela Bristol Ruby, Rose Darcey Bussell, Delphinium Blue Bird, Lupin The Governor, Foxglove Dalmatian Purple, small white flowers on the Pycrantha Firethorn. My Delphiniums have flowered well so far but seem a bit droopy despite all the rain, they're in big containers so I'm finding the balance hard. I thought I wouldn't attempt putting them in the beds because of the S&S, the little buggers.

Enjoy the sunshine everyone, we'll be moaning next week!

Haha! I'm moaning already.. Sweat came down my face like big rain drops.. only after 10 minutes in the sun.. Have you been on holiday. Love Devon and Cornwall. Every time we go there, we count the number of vehicles stuck in the jam.. Without fail. Every time I came home, I swore I wouldn't go again ... Lovely time we had in Devon and Cornwall. Once the delphinium has settled down, they would be alright. Scatter them around to see where they are happiest. I planted some on a dry patch and this year they all came back and I even took cuttings and one is successful. Perhaps, collect the seeds first. They are gorgeous plants. Pyracantha Firethorn is so pretty. Thank you for the names, @Mark56 I need a bit of help as I am a newbie and only know a few plants. This is a lovely forum. I've seen so many beautiful exotic plants and stunning photos like yours and @zenj 's - we are taught funny grammar here! Haha!
