Did anyone see Diane Abbott on the Andrew Marr show this morning? If so, could you please explain why, when Mr Marr asked her questions about comments she has made about the IRA, she kept refering to her hair-do?
I didn't see it, but I can easily imagine --- the words thick, bottle, sh*t and neck spring to mind with that woman. How on earth she ever made it to parliament, even as a shadow role, is beyond me.
You can't lose what you never had Haven't watched it ... but I am now tempted to simply to analyse the link
They were pretty much doomed before she opened her mouth - Jeremy saw to that. Hopefully, the dramatic failure of Labour at the election will bring about the creation of a new party that is more in tune with the world post-1980
OK: so basically, 34 years ago she had an afro and doesn't now - the analogy being, 34 years ago, she held one belief but has since moved on. So far? Ok, so Nutshell: what she said and how she styled her hair (34 years ago) holds NO RELEVANCE as to who she is today At the very beginning of the interview reference was made to her potential position as Home Secretary should the Labour Party be victorious in the forthcoming elections. She endorsed her credentials by stating that she held a graduate position within the Home Office where she learned "how things worked". Furthermore, immediately following the "34yrs ago-moved on" comment, she then reiterates her credentials of working within the Home Office, as a graduate ... ... Thirty NINE years previously! But ... she hasn't moved on from that bit Fancy a bit of cherry picking, anyone?
