        Good morning!

Lovely to walk into this clean and tidy room/thread after Ziggy's "Spring Clean" :heehee: :blue thumb:

Last nights thunder storm meant a disturbed night - the animals do not like it - but the plants have enjoyed it enormously! My radish have sprouted, the basil is poking through (as is the Swiss Chard & Rocket) so some lovely home grown greens will very soon be on the menu. :dbgrtmb:

Today is #1 son's birthday :hapydancsmil: He's already begun the day with a regular driving lesson and we'll be going out for a bite to eat later in the day. Found a lovely place the other week when I was out to lunch with a friend and its right up his street in terms of food, so I hope he enjoys it. Actually, if I tell him he will :waggy: then he will! :heehee:

Yesterday I was out and about for most of the day. A fun park has re-opened its gates after many years of being wasteland. Not quite true, they tried to re-launch it last year but ended up in administration, but, another investor stepped forward and, unlike last year, I had a yearning to go and see what they had done with it so on an outing we went. It's quaint. It's basis being "Heritage" rides which I should imagine would appeal to many ages - nothing too fast/scary/jaw dropping or bowel opening - so grandparents and grandchildren can go on rides together  It all smells very, very "new" and thankfully those smells were of bark chippings and new planting :heehee: Gone is the concrete jungle it was before. It still has other rides/areas to develop so it should be interesting. Didn't try any rides on that occasion but may well return another day for a proper trip down memory lane.

Miles of smiles for one and all and wishing you a day of only good things xxMxx

          Good day everyone
It is a cloudy day here but not chilly or unpleasant.

I have lots to get done today and people to see. Some are work related and after supper, it is to a Pampered Chef party. These are something like Tupperware parties where kitchen items are sold but the hostess is a friend of mine who always kicks up the socializing part a bit by making it a couples event and serves a glass of wine or beer to cheer things up. I usually land up buying something I don't need so this time I'm determined to buy something for my kid's households and hopefully something they will actually use :)

Have a lovely day and be safe :)

            Morning early people :)

Its a bit murky today, hope we get some sun :fingers crossed:

Be planting out some of our mandy's tomatoes this morning and leaving a good review for little hallingbury mill on Tripadvisor.

I see some of the reviews were moaning about the small en suite bathrooms, what do they expect in a converted building? Folk like that shouldn't be allowed anything but Travelodge :th scifD36:

Have a good day everyone :spinning:

                Good morning,

I'm still bouncing off the walls from Shineyland....what a fantastic day :hapydancsmil:.

I managed to get a lot of jobs done in the garden yesterday, we had a few showers but nothing to stop me :dbgrtmb:, most of my Shineyland plants are in :dbgrtmb: & a few other plants which I'd bought over the last few weeks :). I also dismantled the garden bench, so I could give it a good rub down ready for repainting next weekend & I teak oiled the wooden table & chairs.

The hens are shouting at the back door so I'd better give them some breakfast!

I hope you are all well & enjoyed the bank holiday weekend :dancy:

                  Good day
I was pleased to see it had rained in the night as I laid another 50sf of sod yesterday to finish off replacing the area that had been invaded by crabgrass. It worked out to be 170sf in total and I am glad it is done. I looked like I'd been in a mud wrestling match when I was done :snorky:

I've got lots of wage earning to do this next while and am going to try to work in the mornings and be outside on sunny afternoons. At least that's the plan...

                  Have a safe day :)

                          Goooooood morning!

@moyra - did you manage to get to your appointment yesterday? Hope your back is feeling better :grphg:

You and your constant rub downs  :heehee:

                          ... when in Europe :heehee:

 Why? What has the back door done to upset them? :dunno:  :heehee:

Well the 48hr countdown for Ozzy's MRI has begun. I was feeling quite alright about it all before yesterday, not feeling quite as positive today though. Ho hum!

I treated myself to some beads which were on sale and spent yesterday ooh-ing and ahh-ing over them and trying to decide what I'm going to do with them  :dunno: Reminded me of my childhood when the girls in our small road would gather together on a weekend to "swap beads" (sounds thrilling, huh!? :heehee: ): simple pleasures.

My beans have suddenly begun to put on a lot of new growth, so I've very happy with that result  I've labelled all the edibles so that the men of the household know what is not - I repeat - :waggy:*not* a weed. Not that any of them do any weeding but I know how gung-ho Mr "M" can be with a strimmer  Or, ... maybe I'm just showing off so that they may actually appreciate my efforts :shhhh: :heehee:

                          Vibes and smiles for all

                            Aloha everyone,

I'm back in the world of the living (almost) :)

Still working on the raffle winners but most other things done (by Mrs Shiney). I have some work to do in the veg plot - mainly tying in beans which are 4ft high and still waving themselves around.

Book me in for that! :dbgrtmb:

Sheila, the lady on the raffle who is the new grandmother, won the giant teddy bear for her grandchild :yahoo:

                            Have a great day

                            Aloha!

                                Good day everyone
I have a busy day coming up and the rain gods have stepped in to help relieve me of one chore. They nicely watered in the sod again overnight :)

I will be attending an industry seminar this morning and even though it will take me away from work for a few hours, it is a rewarding time because they make these sessions informative and also save me from having to make breakfast - lots of yummies are served with coffee before the presentation :snorky:

Have a safe and fun day :)
