    @fat controller I wish I had given this forum more chance when I first stumbled on to it. I thought the pics were too small and went on to somewhere else and was happy when the photos were the size of the screen. When I saw @longk 's photo and some exotic plants by @NigelJ , I said to myself: I've got to have a look. Glad that I've come here and feel a bit ashamed of the last effort at my beautiful Trollius.. The photos were still a washout. Don't blame me if you see them again and again as I really want to capture the essence and the intricate details.. You will be bored to death looking at my Trollius.. which flowered for the first time after a 3-year wait.

      Don't feel ashamed @alp! You are definitely being too hard on yourself! With the camera you are using, I would say that you are getting about as good performance as it can give; sure, a dedicated stills camera would certainly improve things, but there is a cost attached to that; only you can decide if the improvements in picture quality are worth the additional cost.

      And, I very much doubt we will get bored of seeing photos of flowers! We are photo daft here - just ask our @"M" for example. Besides, it is nice to have your company, and we hope you will stay with our happy band for many years to come :)

                I'm now at this stage with my camera, soon I will be upgrading,

                I have a little light studio in the loft, i might get it down at some point and bring a few flowers indoors.

                    @Upsydaisy For once, I am speechless again! I'm so sleepy. It's like something hit me again and again and I have fallen asleep every other minute... I wonder if it's the pressure.. and I'm freezing in here. For once, the tiredness and the freezing cold have shut up this big chatterbox! I'm going to bury myself in my thick duvet.. Have a restful night and hope tomorrow everything is still where it should be, everyone!

                      Being cold will make you tired, alp. Go and bury yourself in the thick duvet, get warm and get some sleep. It might be an idea to see your local Witch Doctor to see if he/see can throw a light on why you're feeling so sleepy and tired.:coffee::snorky:
