I put them in when I first started gardening only a few years ago, I knew nothing then and very little now about gardening lol, next year I will be landscaping the front garden, its only a very small garden but I will be able to get a few borders in there, I will chose suitable plants then and move the bulbs round the back south facing,

They do come up and flower ok, until the above work is done I will leave them b, ive just looked and one has just started to come up amongst last years stems.

Mine are scattered in pots around the South facing garden but, for some reason, some plants are ahead in growth than last year and some that were flowering on time are not!!:wallbanging::dunno:.............that's gardening for you.:heehee:

@martin-f I also have some dahlia looking exactly like that. I hope that Mambo will set seeds. Actually, it set seed last year, but the heat and the dry air in the lean to kill the whole lot. I collected the seeds after the hard frost and yet they still germinated.. But this lousy woman managed to kill them all! :wallbanging::wallbanging:

@Verdun Once you have on Campanula Octopus, you will have more very quickly. They are really reliable and good plants. I saw another single one in a pot further down the path today. Well, chuffed. Funny thing is that I bought Blue Bayou and sent this one and a dinner plate with cream apricoty colour with white tip and I fell in love with them both. Until last year, I had never heard of dinner plate dahlia or seen one..Just sums up my lack of gardening knowledge!

I used to call them mamba and then realised I could be wrong as that seems to be the name of a poisonous snake!

                                Hello everyone ,
how are you all this beautiful, bright and breezy morning....raring to start the big clean up after these wreck full winds.:dbgrtmb:

Not looking forward to it at all, will have to close my eyes and be strong, hate cutting off, chopping up all my lovely but critically injured plants. Will have a little chat first and I will explain to them that it's for their own good:snorky::spinning:.

Enjoy your walk lucky @Verdun :)

Have a Wet and Wind free Wednesday :blue thumb:
