Afternoon all,

Hope you are all well and happy. I am currently bored silly waiting to see a consultant at St Peters Hospital - still, these things never run on time do they?

Nice and sunny here today, but a bit blowy still. Hope the weather is being kind to you all.

 

I'm back!

Tests took over two hours, and I have to be honest they were the most unpleasant medical tests I have ever had - I was having EMG tests to determine if I had myasthenia gravis, which they have proved that I do not. The electrical tests with the pads and straps weren't too bad, but then we moved on to tests where a needle of approximately 5-inches was inserted, fully, in various places to pick up electrical pulses from the nerves themselves or a machine giving short sharp pulses of electricity. The ones around my eye were particularly uncomfortable, and I must admit I have a cracker of a headache now.

The consultant has warned me that I may end up with bruising and look as though I have been in a brawl - so, I am now waiting to go back to a neurologist to see what lies in store next.

Thankfully, I am a lot better with needles than I used to be, thanks to a VERY patient dentist. All I can do at the moment is take each day as it comes really.
