Morning all

Well, I was right - hung parliament. The annoying thing is that the political elite and even the media STILL don't get it! Overnight, they have gone back to the 'this is all about Brexit' argument, and I'm afraid that they are so wide of the mark that they cannot even see the mark!

People are sick and tired of seeing public services cut to the bone and beyond, whilst at the same time paying more and more in tax; people are sick and tired of seeing balls-up after balls-up and U-turn after U-turn, and all that we hear is 'lessons will be learned' or 'we didn't say it like that'; people are sick and tired of being dictated to by the very people that should be doing what WE want them to do. Hell, this country still sends money to NORTH KOREA, whilst in many places there is not enough money to have our street lights on throughout the night!

Really interestingly, if this election was done on the basis of proportional representation, it would have been an even closer thing - at the time of writing, Conservative took 42.3% of the vote and Labour took 40.1% of the vote.

This country needs a party in the middle somewhere - an all they have to do in terms of a manifesto is to keep it simple:

- Build more housing
- Fund the NHS, Police, Fire and Schools properly
- Invest in our roads infrastructure and get ALL roads up to a decent standard (no potholes)
- Invest in our public transport services

If there is any money left in the pot after all of the above, THEN the niceties can be looked at.
