A small colony of bees has taken up residence in the caravan :hapydancsmil: - they have accessed the vents and are between the inner and outer skin. I looked online and from comparing images they appear to be wild bees. I'm wondering if I contact anyone as wild bee colonies are very few and far between.

Also, today we moved an old planter that was in the middle of some long grass ( we were going to cut grass and dispose of planter ) and we discovered another Bee's nest :hapydancsmil:. Planter hastily replaced. These Bees are different from the caravan Bees. I wonder if they may be domesticated Bees who have de- camped from a hive somewhere. They look similar but are much smaller. Delighted that both colonies are here :) :)

I wonder if there's a bee keepers association in your area? Might be worth looking :)

Dont think bee people are interested unless they are honey bees, which is unlikely by the sounds of it.
I know having them camping in the caravan is not great, if your using it, but apart from killing them I dont think there is another option, I hope there is.
I dont think wild bees hang around for long, and they tend to move on, but as usual I might beee wrong.

Are you sure the ones in the ground aren't bumbles? Both nests sound like they will be gone by September tops. They shouldn't return to the same spot. :) Enjoy the increased fruit & veg crop

For the past 5 years I have had Bees residing in the Compost Heap and it's a case of live and let live. I take some of the "black gold" out of the side and take care not to disturb the non paying residents.:heehee:

Thanks for the link Marley Farley. I have contacted them.

Think the bees under the pot are a species of bumbee.
