So cleared it out and dug out as much Bindweed as I could.

Then lobbed a load of Strawberries in there :spinning: DSCI0006 (2).JPG

Lovely sunny afternoon, albeit a bit breezy. :) Cut then fed lawns (they like bacon butties but I went for a high nitrogen liquid feed instead :rasp:). Transplanted sanguisorba alba, spur of the moment thing but looks better now, planted out overwintered pennisetum rubrum, fed potted plants, picked carrots and other salad crops, potted on zaluzianskyas and gazanias
Ordered another agapanthus......goodness knows where I will put it though......typical gardeners' dilemna; must have it and will decide when I get it where to put it:yay:

First proper stint back in the garden in a while. We went to RHS Chatsworth today so when I got back I planted up my new border which was previously a crappy rockery and a lot of overgrown pink phlox.

Put in some roses (Claire Austen, iceberg, ice cream) an edgeworthia, hydrangea limelight, small dogwood and a few white dahlias.:)

Mowed the lawns, cleaned out the chickens and did some tidying in the greenhouse.

Nothing major: spot-weeding; dead-heading roses; tasting some leaves to see if they will make a side salad for tonight's tea (they will :hapydancsmil:); scrubbed some terracotta pots I acquired (free) a few weeks ago and gave them a primer.

Cleared a space for the compost heap painted a pallet and secured it in place, this little corner is left to run wild so its a ideal spot for it.

Found some stone that I put to one side when i first started with the garden, it will be ideal for around the pond when work starts on that.

Spotted a frog/toad in the garden last night, it must have heard the news of a pond :)

The wind finally died down this evening, so started potting up the pots / barrels with summer plants. Got the ensete maurelii in :hapfeet: with dahlia bishop of llandaff, supposed to be maroon petunias but look more like dark purple  and crimson emperor nasturtiums, just needs to fill in now.
I did two more pots with canna's durban / australia - dahlias david howard / city of alkmarr - coleus - trailing red petunias and lysimachia nummularia.
Just started the second barrel then next door come out for a chat about her agapanthus flowering which has took years to flower, turned out to be a allium cristophii IMG00001 (5).JPG
