Just noticed a "bloomer".........hung clothes on the line and a blue shirt is backing salvia amistad. Hmmmm! I had to move my shirt to back my yellow lupins instead so the view from the kitchen is improved :rasp: Got to get these things right y'know!:dancy: Ha ha

Mrs C is generally the photographer in our house (I have a go occasionally, as you will see in the posts after this one), and this evening some of her friends came out to play. They are getting quite bold now - she was standing only a matter of 10ft away taking these shots:

That's lovely. They can be very noisy. Is that right? I would love to have them in my humble canteen! LOL!

And now you will see why Mrs C is usually in charge of the camera....

P1050987.JPG I tried to get the bloom, and got everything else but. Interestingly, this is a descendant of a volunteer poppy that appeared the year after we moved in here - I have a few of them pop up each year now. :)

This one is a volunteer that decided to set up camp next to the raspberries - I hadn't the heart to rip it out, so it has rewarded me by flowering profusely two years on the trot

And my hardy geranium - I should know the variety, but I am not great at remembering plant names (as you have probably already noticed!)

They can be a wee bit noisy, but they are not too bad. We are fortunate to have loads of them, and since we installed the bird feeder we have quite an array of birds as regular visitors, and they all seem to be getting used to us - - I had a tiny wee wren watching me watering the potatoes last night, sat on the fence only a few feet from my head.
