Thoughts are with all involved in the horrific fires at Grenfell Towers xx

 

My thoughts are with those caught up in that horrific fire in London.........just hope casualties are low.

 

We crossed there Upsy........memories of 9/11 when I saw the flames.

 

Sadly, we might have to see more of this as most new builts are apartment blocks. When I first came here, I dreamt of being away from apartment blocks. Even when I was at home, We had had 2 farms for us to run away. Now, looking around, flats everywhere with no gardens and high rises are everywhere. So sad that a fire can pose such danger to so many people.

Out and about with #2 son yesterday and on the roadside there was a banner promoting an event at Leeds Castle:
"Why have they put that *here*?", he asked.
"Because it's a local attraction"
"Leeds Castle?"
"Yes, its near Maidstone"
"MAIDSTONE!? Well that's just dumb, it should be in LEEDS! That's like having Dover Castle in Calais "

 

Yes, a beautiful LEEDS castle in KENT!

Planted out about 10 Nicotianas. Change a duvet cover and washed the undercover and all that. Just 15 minutes of work and I am already sweating no end. Can't even open the west facing window because of the exhaust fumes and hot air. I think I moan too much... Imagine those living in India...

 

Aye, I know what you mean! You should have done it on Monday morning. I did mine without breaking into a sweat, a first for me!

Popped out after dinner and come home with these , just having a cuppa and will go and plant them up.

 

I am sure you will fall in love with gazania.. They are gorgeous. Now, I have to go and endure the heat. Actually, there is a bit of a breeze, no excuse not to tidy up the house. More washing..
