You all know by now I can't resist el cheapo sh.. I mean stuff and normally got some stupid questions, before I begin: yes @Zigs I know they're succulents and cactus (cacti? Cack?)

Can anyone identify what I got please?

Can I make my own cacti compost? I have John innes 2 and 3, nornal mpc and ericaceous compost.. also have a bag of grit. No sand..

Can I pot up succulents and cacti/cactus together? Or are they best off separated? Should each one have it's own pot? Can't think of any other q's.. oh, is a cactus collective cacti?

I have a feeling this is Mr halo flower that I have growing (squiff)

Loving Mr fluffykins, tempted to put googly eyes on him.

      No idea on the id's.

Was looking thru a cactus id site for mine but couldn't find em.

For Owcho I used spent mushroom compost and grit, he seems to like it :)

My latest ones I just used garden compost and grit :spinning:

Thanks Redwing. I love bargains a bit too much

                  Excellent bargains!

I agree about checking out echeverias, and think that in the middle row of the first pic you have a Mother of Pearl plant: Mother of Pearl Plant | World of Succulents

(That website looks like another good resource for ID purposes.)

Echeverias are nice. My grandmother who had a Mediterranean garden called them "Hens and Chicks" because of the way they produce mini florets. I grow them in my Mediterranean style garden in Southern England. They grow well and survive mild winters. I always pinch off one or two tiny florets at the end of the summer, pot them up and place in my cold frame as insurance against a cold winter.

Oh thank you all, much appreciated! Still haven't had a gander at the websites but will do so later on

They were in wilko's, think I got one of each although I can't really tell the difference between the succulents unless they're a diff colour or have obvious leaf shape differences.

I'm looking forward to them flowering, just hope my cats don't knock them off the window sill and make them wonky like the last one. I don't want to risk putting them outside either, Welsh weather is not the best!

 .. I did stroke him.. he's so fluffy :wub2:
