Just come back inside for a drink, its awfully warm today. Been doing a neighbours privet edge this morning, just potted up one of the barrels with chasmanthe - dahlia - agastache - nasturtiums. Potting some more pots up now with dahlias

Alp....no lawn??? My nephew brought his 18 month old daughter over yesterday and she loved the grass. Soft, lush and green....dont think she had ever been on such grass before. Running, falling, touching and rolling on it.....oh! Not just me :hapfeet:
Nothing sets off a garden like a lawn plus the unique smell of newly mown grass :)
Back from the beach.....temps in high twenties

Well, at least the heat has brought out our elusive @Perki I reckon a lot of people are having beer right now.

@Verdun I was thinking of saving electricity mowing the lawn and selling my lawnmowers to make a bit of money and have more area for planting.. It must be 29C outside.. Tomorrow is hotter still. Oh, dear!

@alp - its a tale if two sides here. Mrs C is a sun worshipper, so she is outside catching the rays and playing with her camera. I am inside, trying to stay cool, and wishing that a nice breeze would kick up.

PS - the closest to beer I got was a shandy with dinner, then I graduated to scotch

I use a cordless mower alp..... brilliant :)
We should make the most of the heat though.....could last all summer, why not?, or just a few days.
A lot of sunburnt holiday makers down here today......as a kid in Australia I learned to respect the sun. Sun tan is fine; burning no :nonofinger:
Going to whizz around lawn cutting now :yay:. Refresh those stripes "snow plough"

It's so hot that my inner nPVC clanged when I shut it. The outer one expanded so much that I couldn't lock it.

@fat controller I'm with you here, but I do like the idea of playing with the camera. You do need a bit of sun though as you need a bit of Vitamin D. Lack of sunning leads to deficiency. I wonder if that's the cause of my wonky legs. I always hide when it is hot and sunny as it will bring up serious rash on both arms.

I wouldn't want to sun myself in this heat. Earlier I was perspiring just standing outside.. Can't see the fascination of hot sun..

I have been burnt to a crisp this last couple of weeks working in the garden, so I have had my fair share of vitamin D (plus I take a capsule every day as well) - I would be quite happy to be out if it was a handful of degrees cooler, but I just cannot stand it when it gets too hot.

Managed to catch the Gazania open for a few pictures :).

While on the front garden, my neighbour was on his way back from parade, I ask him if it was ok for a picture he obliged,
                        Respect :)
