    The immediate local area is imprinted on them from birth so that is where they will come back to, unfortunately overcrowding can happen. Perhaps this should have been though about after the reintroductions.

    I have just read that a reintroduction scheme has been given the go ahead for Poole Harbour as they were here up to the 1800's and around 6 individuals stay here for a week or two in August/September.

          Not something I have seen before, but there are some weird and wonderful beasties... the scarlet tiger caterpillars cover the borage, white crab spiders stalk the undergrowth along with fierce-looking woodlouse spiders, dig in the wrong place and find the huge maybug larvae, and lift any stone or covering and slow worms are slithering softly through the stems...

                    Buzzing and flying a swarm of Bees, I was lucky not to get caught in the swarm, the pictures don't do any justice to the size of it :yikes:.

                              @strongylodon i don't know whether you are interested or that you already know but an Elegant Tern that has been down in Sussex the last few days has now flown over to Brownsea Island.Not too sure if it is still there or how far Brownsea Island is from where you are?:smile:
