If we don't clean the filter (after each drying session) then the clothes don't dry properly as it keeps the moist air in the machine

We got a fair amount of gardening done early this morning before the students turned up for their course. Mrs Shiney teaching and I do the cooking :blue thumb: - and washing up

I had a little sit down afterwards with a cuppa :coffee: and a book and watched the bees and butterflies enjoying themselves. Table flower arrangements by Mrs Shiney :dbgrtmb:

I got up to take a photo of three butterflies that had been sunbathing on the Verbena and they flew away

        Hi Everybody...

Mr and Mrs "@shiney are a formidable partnership.. Hehe! Must have a look at this autistic gardening programme.

Visited Mosley Hall - a most fascinating place where Charles II hid himself to avoid capture by Cromwell. The lady guide told us a lovely piece of history and I was hooked by the intrigue and plotting.

Here is the parterre and a water pump for @martin-f to compare notes

        SAM_0169.JPG SAM_0171.JPG

Another visit to Wightwick Manor. Boy - how I love the place. The 3rd time I have been to this place and yet I just love it no end. Everything about it sings

The building is most exquisite and so is the interior ..

        Just love the details

Some lovely flowers in the garden

I have the feeling that these are rudbeckias, but I could be very wrong.. Someone nice to enlighten me .. SAM_0182.JPG SAM_0184.JPG

Wonderful achillea .. too far away to capture. SAM_0185.JPG

A well-chiselled masculine clematis.. Any kind person knows its name? SAM_0187.JPG

        Some statuesque eremurus..

        Some wonderful roses..

They look like lovely places. Does Mosley Hall get strong winds? Most of the trees are leaning to the left!

@Upsydaisy thanks. Been planting some cosmos. Had to dig it over first, grounds so hard and dry. Got rid of some other plants so i can have a big patch of cosmos.

A few of our hanging baskets. They're recovering from us being away. We have someone come in and water baskets, pots and greenhouse but it's a long job (one hour with a hose) so they don't get done the way we would do them. They're remarkably good considering the heat we've had and will get a good feed today.
