I do think May is out of her depth. As a PM, she should acquaint herself with all the stats and facts and be able to join in debates. All she did was to wear expensive trousers or shoes with poems underneath and had pics taken by Vogue.

Having said that, I do like her. She has a sense of fairness and has seen off Osborne. She just doesn't have the wiles or the benefit of old boy networking. However, people vote with the amount of money in their pockets, not for humanity. I remember seeing an economist who is probably of retirement age and is still working. She complained about the withdrawal of winter fuel allowance of £10. Then she said it was just enough for her to buy cat foods. I tell you, this is a woman who influences government economic policies and I don't think she has children .. What does it tell you? No one wants to pay tax and all the wealthy people think about clever schemes to squirrel away their money. We can't even get Google to pay proper tax and yet the EU are going to fine it to the tune of 2bn euro.

I often wonder how much is the queen's clothes bill. She has various clothes with the same pattern with with various fluorescent colours, detectable from outer space. And now motion is afoot to house her useless holiday hopper granddaughters in royal palace and that they be put on civil list. I feel very sorry that a young girl who had a prosthetic limb had her car removed by PIP gang and yet her son wants to have his daughter with all 4 limbs intact to be housed in Kensington Palace and be put on civil list. Where is the justice and yet the PR machine keeps saying that they are good value for money ..

I really don't want to be too cruel on her though I don't understand why she appointed the sleazy Liam Fox. I believe in her good intentions. Politicians have to be good liars and brilliant at not giving straight answers. She has a lot on her plate without us rattling her. I hope we can get out of the EU. Frau Merkel is not exactly a nice woman.

I don't believe in ANY of them having good intentions, BECAUSE they are all good liars.

Oh, and if she didn't want to be 'rattled' then she picked the wrong job. If you put yourself in a position where the buck stops with you, you should be prepared to take all the buck that comes. If she can't stand the heat, she should get out of the kitchen.

And nobody will convince me that it is right/moral for £1bn of taxpayers money to be used purely to secure a party's position in parliament.

Ah, I see - well yes I am a bit cynical when it comes to politicians and governments, but that is borne out of my own experiences with a number of local authorities and larger government departments. The amount of taxpayers money that I have seen wasted over the years is truly frightening - and most of it wasted on vanity projects by those who are themselves are rich.

Got to see the Queens speech this morning streaming on my cell. Neat all the theatrics. Her outfit, and all those others who dressed the part. She certainly read many pages, seemed to cover all subject areas.

Phil is not known to be a person who "listens", Kandy:dunno: I had some "contact" with him during the 60's when he used to drive into RAF airfields, jump out of the car leaving all doors open, into the waiting aircraft and zoom off, as I serviced one of the aircraft on about 3 occasions and he used to leave several bottles of Whiskey in the car for the guys as a thank you, even though never a word was passed apart from a wave here and there. But his intake of "fluid" was known to be prodigious then and, though he is in his 90's and not driving or flying anymore, some habits, thankfully don't change!:heehee:
