Morning everyone, hope you are all well.

@shiney , hope your day goes well and everybody has a good time. :dbgrtmb:

We managed to get the summerhouse dismantled yesterday, although not without my usual DIY ineptitude coming to the fore when I removed one of the small roof sections, not realising that it was the only thing holding up the other remaining sections, which promptly collapsed on top of me.

Everyone else found it most amusing of course, which just served to put me in a bad mood for the rest of the day.

Consoled my myself in the afternoon by doing a little pruning and shredding, a nice simple, mindless task which I always find quite relaxing.

Then it was round to sister-in-laws for a barbeque in the evening, followed by playing silly boules in the evening in the garden.

Feeling slightly less grumpy this morning, but it's still early. :heehee:

            Enjoy your Sunday. :)

                  Good day everyone
It is glorious sun and brilliant blue skies here. I peaked in at the bunnies and they are looking bigger. :)

Less than an hour til my show (5 episode omnibus) starts and I shall spend the entire time in the kitchen puttering, listening and watching the show.

Play safe and enjoy whatever Mother Nature brings you :)

                          Aloha everyone,

@wiseowl guess what song is now stuck in my head for the few days or so? :heehee: Although I certainly can't go skipping down the road at the moment.

Our Cousins Day went very well but my back is really suffering now. All the careful planning paid off but our old friend Murphy stepped in! :dunno:. The weather was good so we could set up tables and chairs outside in the garden :blue thumb:. The cooking and serving of a three course meal (plus drinks and tea/coffee) to 21 guests went smoothly. Clearing up from lunch was tedious but expected and I wiped the plates etc. and put them in the dishwasher and washed up five baking dishes, six saucepans and all the serving bowls and plates.

Then I was able to settle down to mingling with the family. :dbgrtmb:

A few hours later I went indoors to prepare for tea and cakes and to empty the dishwasher. The dishwasher was still chuntering on! So I turned the machine off, opened it up and nothing had happened - the motor had been running but no water had got through.

So, I wasn't able to stop to wash all the dishes and cutlery from 21 people and Mrs Shiney and I had to quickly see whether we had enough of both for supper later in the evening (tea and cakes were not a problem as we didn't give them any plates for the cake ). We found enough of both so supper went OK but then, afterwards, I needed to hand wash the pans and serving dishes from supper plus plates and cutlery from 42 people :phew:. I had two volunteer helpers from the cousins to do the wiping but now have a bad back from bending over the sink doing all that washing. Pain killers are helping .

No gardening for me for a few days

Keep well and have a great day

                          Aloha!

                            Good day everyone
@shiney , as usual I am tired out just hearing about all of the work you do. Did you get the water supply to the dishwasher fixed? When we bought a new dishwasher, we put the old one in the cellar and I use it when we have lots of serving dishes etc. Sure comes in handy :)

I am looking at beautiful blue skies. I'm going to hurl together the ingredients for spaghetti sauce and put the pan in the sun oven so it can slow cook all day without costing me a penny :)

I'll also go out shortly to peak at the bunnies. Yesterday morning I was delighted to see a pretty mushroom when I went to look at them. Hopefully I'll see another today.
