WHAT JOBS ARE WE DOING IN THE GARDEN TODAY - 2017

I'll get another row in somewhere, then!!

 

Got back....rehydrated the greenhouse, soaked one of my fish in salt treatment to try and save it from dropsy, had a hot tub myself then watered the allotment and gardens before dinner. Harvest a couple of baby gem lettuce, peas and a big onion.

 

The constant weeding. Dead heading mowing oh. And drink Cider.

 

Picked and frozen rhubarb and blackcurrants.
Transplanted kniphofia and salvia......large intact rootballs so will be fine. Looks better too
Will feed the front lawn later

Dis something different for 4 hours today. Weeding, dead heading n turned over 2 compost bins. Both were full as of a month ago. Now emptied em both they've reduced enough to fit into 1 bin. Some quite nice stuff in there too

 

I collected some nice rotted chicken manure from a neighbour. It's amazing how poo can make you so happy.

 

Crudely made these planters from old decking left over from a job. We'd picked up these Begonias in the market. 9 for £2. So worth a punt. Placed on the wall out the front

No big jobs just a bit of watering of pots.

I've taken off most of the non flowering stems from my Tumbling Tom in the veg trug. Looks much lighter

It is indeed small and large holes!

 

Deadheaded LOADS of roses and other plants. Put bark chippings down the side of the house, planted a honeysuckle I got from Morrisons and a couple more lavender plants id grown over winter.

Took the poorly fish to the aquatics centre to go to fishy heaven.

Got more bark chippings and compost on the way back. Planted up the planters I got from winning the battle with Primrose. Put back the soil in the planters whete the dogs had been digging (they love blood fish and bonemeal smell)


Been up to the lotty and planted a couple more dwarf french bean plants.

Now sitting in the shade having a rest-it's too hot!
