Hiya longk, you can sow seed of guanajuato but I take cuttings in the summer.
Very, very tender form of patens so winter protection in most places :)

Having a bash with some Zinnias again this year as they seem to last ages when used as a cut flower.

These are all in the veg plot.

The Verbascum chaixii are smothered in hovering insects. :hapydancsmil: We estimated that there are about 50 around each stem - and we have a few hundred stems. The bees also like them. What are these insects?

My Abutilion has probably passed away. Don't like being moved when we moved house.

That's odd. They're generally quite shallow rooted and we've even popped them back in with a stake when high winds have uprooted them (A.Suntense).

Re Evening Primrose nature has provided us with her bounty again on the towans behind........a long avenue of them with Vipers Bugloss.
She has given us red, pink and white valerian out there too.
Not hot on wild flowers.......must read up on them......but all sorts leading to the beach and topped with the wonderful smell of gorse

                              A good year for Lavender.
I planted these when two inches high.
