    Hi all,

@alp Yesterday was very warm and humid across our part of the county. :phew: This morning it's already 74.3F but clouds are coming over. They've forecast possible rain around lunchtime but I'll believe it when I see it :rolleyespink:. In the meantime the sprinkler is on!

Mr and Mrs pheasant brought baby onto the patio this morning for a drink. All went well until Sarafi the cat appeared. He's from four doors away but spends most of his time here! It meant a quick rush outside to grab him :blue thumb:.

@shiney Just been watching videos on how to tile the floor and so being a nosy character, pop in here to have a look. Here it is humid, but much more bearable than yesterday. Regig a water butt again just in case there is liquid gold to be had. Would love to see a baby pheasant. On the way to get some horse manure, saw a pheasant, but as soon as the son took out a camera, it disappeared.

I also have one such cat which lurches in my garden any time of the day. I don't feed it as I don't want it to rub is coat on my leg.. Don't know where it gets its sustenance, but it is in my garden very early in the morning and very late at night.

@zenj Lovely dahlias and I like the rain on it. I reckon you hate the liquid stuff! You should have seen how much I have done to prepare for the long awaited gold rush..

My meconopsis seedlings are still alive and I water them nearly every day. I have the same daisy and they are now taking over.. self-seeding everywhere, so are my verbena bonariensis, eryngium, Welsh poppies .. I must say I still love my ox-eye daisies, but I wish they understood my concern and had not sprung up everywhere. It went 80 feet to the end of my garden.:wallbanging:

@alp,so glad your son mended your butt ( unfortunate phrasing there:roflol:).....you get my drift I hope:dbgrtmb:

Dad is a shaken , thankfully cuts and bruises aren't too bad.

Found his record player ( that he forgot he had!) , dusted off the cobwebs and he is now sitting surrounded by all of his old record collections.......and we are rock and rolling to ' The Hits Of World War 2:music:......hoovered, cleaned and dusted in time with the beat...not a pretty sight:snorky:

He is now wandering down memory lane.....stopping briefly to ask if I remember certain songs !!!!.......'ummm no Dad....I was a mere twinkle in your eye':giggle::giggle:

His old Lab is happily snoozing across my feet.....:happydog:.....so all is good in our little world.

Will serve up Dad's main meal later before hubs comes to collect me, and hopefully he won't forget to buy some painkillers for Dad.....Mmmmm best remind him I think.

Catch you all later, enjoy the rest of your day.

Awwwwwwwwwwww... so idyllic @shiney and Mrs shiney (I think)... Having watched most of the Springwatch, I really love seeing wildlife. Pheasants are such beautiful birds. I think one must have come next to my front door at night as I saw his beautiful feathers in the morning. Poor pheasant ..

They must be very at home in your garden, @shiney... Thank you so much for uploading the family here.. I'd love to have one wandering around my garden like that. I will definitely keep chickens or ducks in my next house.

I'm a big Springwatch fan too. The stoats are always my favourites. Shame they rarely show hogs on there. Shiney, do you have a night cam set up? I imagine you have all sorts of wildlife there.

Upsy, glad to hear your Dad is ok & no broken bones. Scary when you get those calls, sends shivers & numbness.

No, we don't have that. We get lots of daytime wildlife and discourage badgers, foxes and deer.
