No it doesn't @alp, the parent is soooo tall and elegant!.... anyway it's gone to the compost heap in the sky!

No @Logan , it was definitely not a seedling it was sprouting out of the tree itself!

I certainly did at Wisley, the echinacea & wildflower areas of the trial fields were incredible, as were the big double borders (much to be expected). Took your advice Alp by going in high summer & it paid off by the bucket load. Here are a few snaps.

@Mark56 You must have had a lovely day at Wisley... Echinaceas and heleniums are my favorites. I saw some double echinaceas at a roundabout and I took tons of seed heads and spent ages sorting them out. In the end, none of them sprouted... but they were lovely..

Amazing how enchanting lobelias are. I saw a man buying a pot of lobelias and I was so touched. Big man buying lobelias.. I know I can be very mad.. But look how beautiful they are.. I think there was a robot like topiary there as well. We couldn't go on Saturday as I misplaced the charger for my camera..

And Mark, you were quite right, I now have a mass of Rudbeckias and they do like striking. In fact, it is now the most striking thing on the patch ..
