Off to Morrisons to panic buy. Just in case the weather turns.

Not done much at all today as it's been raining on and off most of the day. Also started 6 new migraine tablets and feel quite weird.

Watered the greenhouse and bought an evergreen flowering shrub (can't remember the name) from Morrisons for £2.

Also had a facebook message from Gardeners World which is a bit exciting....a few weeks ago they were asking if anyone was up for Carol Klein coming to their garden to help them out....they've asked me to contact them with my availability over the Summer! They've probably emailed lots of people but exciting nonetheless :)

I strimmed, as I leave it long for a while for the wildlife, and then mowed the lawn to a reasonable height. After that I went into the Green House and stripped off the lower leaves of the Tomato plants as they were shading some of the trusses and also it made it easier to water them. There was a surprising amount of leaf and they all went on the compost heap. I then repotted a Aloe into a drier mixture of grit sand, grit, and compost, which had been over watered from being near the Tomato plants, repotted two rescued miniature roses and pruned the dead stems from them, and then repotted a Succulent from the Kitchen Window,
After that I had a look at the borders and started taking out lots of Teasel seedlings, Willow Herb, Honesty seedlings, some Geranium Robertia which seems to love my sandy soil and seeds profusely, tied a rampant Achilea "King Arthur" to a cane in an attempt to tidy it up. I planted some Holly Hock seedlings, a Maurandya "Magic Dragon", that I got from Pete, against some Trellis. After I watered some of the pots and then made a mug of Tea and refilled the Wildlife pond from the external tap while sitting in the Arbour.:coffee::snorky:

Knew there was a compost heap in there somewhere :) DSCI0001 (28).JPG

Sieved some of it out DSCI0002 (20).JPG

And gave the fruit patch a top dressing :) DSCI0003 (11).JPG

Not watered it in yet as there's a black cloud on the horizon :th scifD36: Havin a cuppa and seeing if it comes to anything :coffee:

Has it rained yet @Zigs ? Still dark grey clouds here but no rain.

Cut three vases full of sweet peas this morning and been cutting backand trying to tackle the awful mildew.

Just cane back from a walk along the marsworth canal and sunday lunch at a lovely pub with the doggies. On the way back i came across a man at startops reservoir with his family. He had a little dog called Ruby who he raised his fist to threatening to punch. I couldn't just stand and say nothing. He tried to deny threatening to punch his dog and i said "Explain this then" and raised my fist how he had done. He got really nasty and told me to mind my own business and his wife and kids tried to defend him. I can only imagine he is a bully to them too. I'm fuming about it. I hate to see that. People who abuse animals are absolute scum. What's worse is that other people were stood about and noone else said anything. All seems a bit odd to me. I walked off saying "I'm watching you!" I dont know why I said it but it was all i could think of at the time. It gets me so angry....at the time I felt like I could have punched him to a pulp.

I pulled a bloke up on the beach who had caught a mackerel and was throwing it back in the surf and getting his dog to fetch it  He couldn't see he was doing anything wrong :gaah:

Some people don't understand the value of life. And don't deserve it.

No excuse for un necessary suffering at all....in the name of religion or anything. I'm still fuming if you hadn't already guessed.
