Some simple beauties from the same dahlias

A self-seeded Nicotiana - lovely that it shares a similar colour to my Membo which will probably form seeds where it is planted.

These are either Telma or Lena

What is this? Can't remember the name. This year, all my plants have been very slow .. Probably not enough water. Tomorrow I will water them seriously.

          Hi Upsydaisy ,

It isn't a different species ( that is impossible ), it's either that yours has thrown out a new " sport " . This is how many new plants are found . For instance variegated plants often grow initially as a branch on a normal green bush , or you get a branch where the flowers are a different colour. These are then propagated and hey - presto you have a new Variety.

Or , if yours is a named variety it has thrown out a reversion. This is when a plant reverts back to how it was originally. You get this a lot with variegated trees etc reverting back to their original green state.

              Thank you, @KFF and @Logan

Good morning to a very humid Friday and I'm already sweating .. Did an hour of watering and only 2 containers of water left. I have had numerous unwelcome admirers this morning, trying to get close. MOSQUITOES .. I hate them with a vengeance, always buzzing next to the tip of my nose and a bite will leave me with more 9 months of woe ..

Going to put the tiles down.. I'm dreading it.

Very kind of you, @Irmemac .. I was expecting something red hot.. I still have got quite a few others, but they are not obliging ..

Did both lawns and I feel so much tidi -er!

Another agapanthus is throwing up a flowering stem, can't wait! The Polar Ice has gone into seeds already.

Morning all , another lovely day in store:yes:

@alp I have a Liatris Spicata 'Kobold' . I took a tiny bit from one of my Dad's acouple of years ago.....now have a lovely big clump. I am surprised that it's done so well as it's in the wrong place according to the write ups on it.....east facing ( south / west is best) and planted in a shady area ( grows in full sun) and in a clay border ( needs free draining soil)

Off for a C&C ( coffee and chat) with a couple of friends this morning......at one of our lovely GC's........will I be able to resist...Mmmmmmmmm ....that is the dilemma I now have to face!:noidea:

Youngest son is coming down for the weekend :yay:
We have alot of birthdays ,including his in a couple of weeks so will all go out for a nice meal tomorrow, so looking forward to that:dbgrtmb:

                Have a Fabdabadoozie Friday.........grew that word from seed!!!!:lunapic 130165696578242 5:

We know that @Mark56 has been on his Italian (i.e. horticultural) GRAND TOUR, and the lovely heleniums and echinaceas show me what I have been missing. ...Wonder how @Perki is doing .. miss him a bit and his lovely border and striking architectural planting. PERKI, PERKI! Can you hear me! Hehe!

Got back from physio,i can leave the brace off,if i feel tired I can put it back on and it's adjusted to give me free movement. I can walk about a mile a day, but not a 5 mile walk. Had a go on a exercise bike,i did very well. Got a appointment at their gym next Friday afternoon. Things are getting better.
