@moyra The sun's out now and the temperature had reach 70F

@wiseowl I hope your fish is OK and that you get all pumped up. :heehee:

Although I've had tinnitus for 50 years it rarely bothers me much until things like alarms go off :hate-shocked:

          Good day everyone,
I decided to get my wage earning work done before coming here to socialize or go out to play. We are to have a nearly full day of sunshine so I am loading the lines with laundry. There is a gentle reeze to assist the sun with drying the clothes. :)

I have lots of weeding to do and need to feed the lawns as well and it's going to be relaxing to putter outside.

Play safe and respect your limitations :)

            Morning all.

I'm up and about early this morning, no point staying in bed, the pigeon chorus was in full cry so thought I might as well get up. :th scifD36:

Had a cuppa and a stroll round the garden, it's lovely and peaceful at 6 o'clock on a Sunday morning (pigeons apart).

It's another pleasantly cool, cloudy morning here. I'm off back out into the garden now to give all the pots, containers and greenhouse veg their weekly feed. Then it's pack a picnic and off for a day out at Houghton Hall in Norfolk to look at the gardens and sculptures. :)

            Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

Good morning all and happy Sunday to everyone!

I have to get back into the swing of getting up early for work, after being off for a week unwell, so have been up and about this morning already. Taken a lot of pictures of the garden and sent to my mum who enjoys looking at gardens and plants herself but not so much the gardening aspect! My uncle, grandma and great-uncle were also very much into gardens (or particular plants) so it is in my blood too! It's strange how these things work sometimes!

In order to completely be tired for the end of the day I may take a walk to the local cheap-shops when they open, 3 miles away (Aldi, B&M, The Range and Morrisons) - to see if there are any garden bargains available for a few pounds!

Now just watching and listening to the birds flutter around, a few blue tits are climbing on the walls of the house opposite!

Have a lovely day everyone, hope you have good weather and an excellent time!

                  Aloha everyone,

It's warm here at 65F with no breeze but the sun is having a lie-in.

Yesterday was a reasonably busy one with gardening in the morning, people round for lunch (stayed till 5 p.m.), then some people round to pick up freebies (through the local freebie internet site), then out for a walk along the river. A pleasant, gentle day. :blue thumb:

Today will be more hectic with students in all day. I'm cooking a veggie couscous for them so will just need to check, before they start, for any allergies etc.

When all that's done and cleared up I'll need to start on prepping for the evening when we have friends coming round for dinner. :phew: I'll make a spicy lentil soup followed by roast chicken and crispy spuds with runner beans (I'm now cropping enough to eat but not to sell - yet) and then individual fresh fruit salads (mango, pineapple, melon topped with cherries, strawbs and freshly picked wild cherry plums) and I'm making an apple crumble (last year's apples from the freezer).

Keep well and have a great day

                  Aloha!

                      Morning early people :)

                      Cloudy here again

Got an old compost heap to liberate from the nettles today, need it for the new fruit patch, which is competing with @silu's field for being full of rocks.

Have a good day everyone :spinning:

The best of luck @Zigs. I feel I should be wearing stripped clothes a la the chain gangs of old,,,,come to think of it that's what I need a gang......any takers?:snorky:. I did have a wallpaper stripping party once when we were renovating and that, well wasn't a great success. I think there was far too much alcohol consumed prior to getting started on the walls. Suffice to say I had to get the professionals in to re-plaster most of the house as yup the wall paper had been duly hacked off but with it went most of the walls too:yikes:. The photo below I put up re an unusual (to me anyway) wildflower which shows 1 of the better patches of the area I'm trying to clear POST having had the really big stones taken off....sigh!

                            Good day everyone,
My second time typing this message - my windows turned on the touch pad when it updated and somehow I "touched" it enough to delete my entire passage

We are expecting a cloudy and rainy day here which suits me just fine because I will be baking indoors while listening to my show this morning. Later, I will be finishing moving my sister's larger items so I'll be miserable anyway so I might as well be soaked as well.

The lawn feed that I use needs to sit on the grass for 24 hours before getting soaked in and I spread it yesterday because of the promised rain today. I also filled pots with potting soil and have them sitting out waiting to be watered by the rain and then ready to pot up seedlings :)

Play safe everyone and get the most out of your sunday. Tomorrow it's back to the rock pile!:rolleyespink:

                              Aloha everyone,

@wiseowl I guess you're out walking with your furry friends. :doggieshmooze: :) Saw you on here about 4.20 a.m. but couldn't type anything (noise of the keypad) as Mrs Shiney was a bit restless, next door. :blue thumb:

The roast chicken last night was fantastic (patting myself on the back) being tasty and juicy. It impressed our friends :heehee:

Car goes for it's MOT this morning. I think it should pass :fingers crossed: as I haven't had any problems. It has been a very good car for all of its nine years. :pathd:

Forecast is hot and getting hotter for a few days, before cooling down again for Thursday.

Keep well and have a great day
