Thanks, Snorky, it seems to be a better year for Toms, for me, than last year:coffee::snorky:

Looking great @Linz shame about the BER....not bothering with those san maz types anymore.

Just harvested a few cherry toms and about to use my new andrew james decimator for the first time as inspired by @Zigs and @Fat Controller

To be fair, I think it's my fault for not sticking it in a bigger pot! I only have one san marzano, that is really behind the black icicle (seed arrived late), not grown them before but read they're good for pasta sauce and while you mention it, I bought a el cheapo dehydrator from eBay and dried tomatoes in there the other day to make sauce. Bloody delish!

That's one of the reasons i bought it too @Linz have to confess I'm not a fan of raw toms unless theyre baby plum and very sweet or have balsamic on them. I'm not a salad person, but love them cooked in things. Just tried a baby tom and it was yuk lolol. But can guarantee when I've dehydrated them etc they will be tasty. I've sprinkled over some fresh oregano and crushed garlic that id grown too.

Also chucked some kaffir lime leaves, a couple of green chillies and corriander seeds. Thought I may aswell make the most of the dehydrator being on lol.

Remember having the first raw tom at skool when I was 6, spat it straight out and didn't eat another one till I was in me 20's :yikes:

Not had much to decimate recently...

Just ate one, it was yummy :)

Few ripening, but most are just hanging green

Yes, they say your tastebuds change when you get older. I can only just tolerate lettuce but it gives me tummy ache, broccoli-blurgh...the texture is awful and bananas....well I do actually have a phobia of them....i struggle being in the same room as one. Everything about them makes me feel queasy and poorly. Irrational I know but uncontrollable- has caused much embarrassment in the past!

Having to support some with para cord to prevent the truss stems from snapping. Next job is to cover them with some fleece to 1) slow down ripening so they'll grow bigger before stopping and 2) protect them against Tomato Moth Caterpillars which have become a problem over the last couple of years.
