Sprayed the toms and spuds with Bordeaux mix, fed the toms in the greenhouse.

End of July and the bowser runneth over

Well went up to Bucks GC and a woman was helped me with some inspiration to fill in the gap in the border. Got back and followed @Verdun s advice and dug out the 3 white lupins and potted them up and put them aside.

Have purchases some lovely tall dahlias to go in it's place and to fill some other gaps. Think I also need something else that's white to fill some space so might need another last minute shopping trip....

Did some more dead heading in the back garden and then went out the front and dead headed all the front roses and other plants.

Tidied up some of the tom plants in the greenhouse again.

Mr snorky cut the back and front grass just in time before a heavy down pour. Inside now feeling a little stressed about next week. Think I'm just a bit tired from lack of sleep!

Gave the long grass/wildflower area its first cut of the year today. All the wild flowers have seeded now, so I scythed it first, then finished it off with the mower on the highest setting.

Cut down a few patches of hardy geraniums, hoping to get a second flush of flowers later if it doesn't get too dry. Did a little weeding and dead-heading here and there and generally pottered about.

Once home from work, the only job in the garden I had any time for was ...

                ... :poop: patrol!
Still, at least now I can "smell" the roses ;) :heehee:

                  Nice dahlias Snorky :)
For a really classy and beautiful white check out anemone Wild Swan Snorky. Unlike any other anemone .....mine flower from May and continue into autumn. Not just pure white flowers but they have a blue reverse to them making them even more attractive in the wind. :)
A beautiful day, esp the afternoon, enabled me to cut lawns and deadhead heleniums and dahlias :)

I am blowing up another yellow jacket ground hive soon. Its 8:18 PM dusk enough soon. seems they have 3 openings. You know, I am not mean. There are woods around us, why build your hive in my garden, where you will sting me when I weed. Like please. But anyway, off soon to blow it out. Pour the gas down and light the match, and back up.

lol Been over to Cambridge to do a bit of accounting/consulting and left the proper gardener doing some work. Came back and well all I can say is :wow:

What a perfectionist!!! Edging is fantastic, weeding is fantastic. It looks so neat and lovely. I feel so less stressed. Got some more bits to do tomorrow morning and on Thursday and then we'll be ready for Friday.

Trying to stay focused and keep calm for Friday.
