Shhhhh Snorky.......dont want too many to know! Gwithian to Hayle beach, the middle less populated part is place to go. Large soft sand beach, safe from sea currents and accessible. Pub in Gwithian, the Red River, is dog friendly, people friendly and provides excellent food. However, the nearby Rock Pool is actually on the beach ....again, dog friendly, etc.
Will you be on next week's GW?
Despite showers in some places it has been very dry here, although rain later and tomorrow is forecast, so watered pots thoroughly today.
Picked runner beans, tomatoes and planted out another sanguisorba in place of a poorly growing sedum.....he had his chances, warned him often enough this year but, no, he was a lazy purple sedum and I am ruthless with such guys! :heehee: (Actually divided him and potted his parts....cruel aint I?:noidea:)

Planted out a couple of echinacea and a penstemon garnet, the soil really heavy to work with and its started raining again.
Removed some sweet william which have gone over, i had some nepeta senior to replace them but they are a dwarf variety so probably look for some walkers low instead. I planted the senior else where in the garden for now.
I started moving plants already , I know I shouldn't but I cant help it

Great, thanks @Verdun -always good to get a personal recommendation! :) all I know for GW is that it'll be September. Dreading it lol.

I am not sure if today's task counts as gardening or mountaineering...digging out old, dense, weed-ridden clumps of Libertia and Alchemilla from a 45 degree slope above my patio!

Unfortunately I have lots more to do - but my back could only cope with so much in one day!

Some of the clumps of Libertia which I am keeping, I have hacked back to ground level. They are very dense with lots of dead in them, and a trial clump which I hacked this time last year has come back very nicely. I hope these do too. Actually, looking at the size of these clumps, they could do with dividing...sigh!

I have the same problem. The thing is, even if you go by the plant sizes listed in the books... The plants haven't read the books :wallbanging:

Had a wander around in the morning yesterday. Discovered that the hole in the middle of one of the molehills where Moley had popped up has now been filled in. Did some reading up about Moles, very interesting reading. Definately happy to have Moles here:hapydancsmil:.

Started raining so spent day indoors watching films and watching rain. Vet rang me to say he has another hedgehog, so collecting it today. Probably no time for gardening as errands to run too, but we will see. Looks like a nice day at the moment.
