    Good afternoon, fellow WW'ers :spinning:

Thank you, Lori, I'm going to guess that it is, but, Tuesday he was quite grouchy afterwards, so I had my doubts! We were back again today and this time it was being observed by the physiotherapist (who also does laser treatment). Wow! What a font of information she is (no, no, that isn't a euphemism for talks a lot :heehee: but, she did have a lot to say!). He was much better behaved today and was giving out kisses like it was Valentine's Day  He's shattered now though because, on the way home, I detoured to a couple of Garden Centres :heehee: Well, *someone* has to think ahead of what to plant next Spring and one of the Garden Centres has a half price sale on seeds! ;)

I do love the "It's a small world" principle: in one of the Garden Centres one of the staff asked if Oz was friendly and I was cautious in my reply seeing as he was giving Elvis lips on fast forward on Tuesday to anyone and everyone who looked at him! But, I employed my strategy of telling Ozzy: "Ooh, look! A new friend!!!" It worked and he gave her a warm welcome which she attributed to Oz being able to smell her own dogs.

M: "What dogs do you have?"
    S: "They're rescue"
M: "So is he! :blue thumb: Where are they from?"
    S: "Battersea, but my husband is a ********** "
Me: "So is mine! Where does yours work?"
    S: "At *********"
Me: :hate-shocked: "So does mine!!!" :blue thumb:
    S: "Really? What's his name?
Me: :think2: "You go first and I'll keep my fingers crossed I won't be saying 'Mine too!' at the end of that sentence!" :nonofinger: :heehee:

    Smiles and vibes for all
    xxMxx

        Aloha everyone,

We've got a busy few days coming up. :phew: We've both done food shopping, always do it separately, for the different visitors we'll be having. Mrs Shiney has friends coming for lunch today and has prepared a lot of food which I've had to find room for in our fridge (it's 2m high :rolleyespink: - the fridge, not the food) amongst all the shopping and the picked crops. At least that should come out this morning and make way for the gallon of soup I've got cooling on the cooker.

Saturday, friends coming for dinner. Sunday, friends coming for lunch and dinner. Monday, Mrs Shiney has one of her U3A groups (flower arranging) coming for afternoon tea and a tour of the garden (I'm waiter and tour guide - multi-tasking :hate-shocked:).

After all the rain we had the lawns are growing like mad so I've got to try and get those cut and trimmed (no chance of finishing it with all the crops needing to be picked and bridge to be played ). Michael is due to come tomorrow but I never hold my breath about it :rolleyespink:. The hedges need cutting and I tend to leave that to him nowadays (hope he remembers to bring his hedge cutters, as he tends to forget little things like that :noidea:).

The 'traveller site' is expanding every day  and it's becoming quite noisy (children, dogs and loud music). The access they made onto the land is now a quagmire so they've made a new way in by entering the farmer's field next to it and driving across the field. Knowing what the farmer is like it wouldn't surprise me if it will be 'shotguns at dawn'. The field surrounds a woodland that the farmer and his friends use as a 'shoot'. Apart from the noise, and the mess that's developing, they haven't disturbed any of the neighbours. I don't know where they're getting all the fuel for the big bonfire that burns all day and night but I suspect that it's from the farmer's woodland. Interesting times!

Barry enjoyed his trip out yesterday. He's 48 and I remember him as a little baby. I've been looking out for him ever since his dad died in 1983 - time flies! :old:

Keep well and have a great day

        Aloha!

          Morning early people :)

Sun's out here  Don't know how long it will last though, tell a lie, I do know, 5 aeons

No work today so gotta find some other naughty stuff to do :)

Got my entry form for the show in yesterday, 13 categories :fingers crossed:

So if I join the travellers @shiney , I could work on your garden :ideaIPB:

Have a good day everyone and don't get caught :)

You'd have to borrow a dog! Maybe @"M" would lend you Ozzy.

Well, I've completed 3 nights of doing the midnight run to collect #1 son from work; I'm more of a lark than an owl (I leave being an owl up to Woo) and I am fair pooped this morning. Have a meeting tonight around 5pm and when I get home from that, it will be a long soak in a warm bath and an early night for me!

@shiney - there is a small group of travellers who have set up home near to where #1 son works; their chosen location is ... a roundabout! :snorky: I'm guessing it is because they will be less likely to be disturbed :heehee:

                      Good day everyone
Aha, that's our problem. We have very few roundabouts and the ones we have are on single lane roads and the center would barely hold dog house.

We've got a cloudy day here and I'm hoping we wring some free water out of them.

I have all of my family errands done and am now back to playing with the tub of water/pump and lures. I had to buy a bigger pump yesterday and was delighted to see it will do the job. Have no idea what to do with if after... the packaging claims it moves 350 gallons of water per hour. Hmmm, maybe I'll use it to raise water from the rain barrel up to a receptacle which can be used to gravity feed my pots and things..

I hope everyone has a pleasant day and please play safe :)

We did get a 10 minute burst of heavy rain late yesterday afternoon which made the lawns happy. I turned the sprinkler system off again and now we have blue skies again. Hopefully not another long dry spell coming up.

Have a lovely day and please play safe :)

Late afternoon wakey wakey! (perhaps wakey from a nap!)

Hope everyone is having a good day whatever you are up to.

@CanadianLori hopefully you will get some rain soon! If we all blow in the same direction I am sure the clouds over here may drift over to you eventually!

@shiney I hope Michael shows up tomorrow and works hard to get all the trimming done!

Wishing @Zigs luck in his string quest! (not string vest, which it might rhyme with) and @"M" hopefully you can have an early night tonight and not another midnight run today?!

Busy few days here. Work has been taking up a lot of time weekday-wise, leaving most of the housework to be done at the weekend. That's before anything goes on in the garden! :yikes:

Had a good friend over for dinner and a catch up last night, and been to pick up packages from the post office this morning. The washing is on, the food shopping is done, but still have things to sort! We have a "step challenge" on at work so colleagues and I are trying to walk at least 6 miles a day. Today I have only got to 3.2 miles so an afternoon walk is called for!:snooze:

                                have a good Saturday all!
