    The Melplash Show

This is a lively one day event held in the fields adjoining the West Bay plot.

Got parking for a few cars by prior arrangement.

Tickets are £16 on the gate or £14 if bought online.

    Tickets

Can't provide any food, but can do tea/coffee/soft drinks/water at lunchtime, plenty of food stalls at the show and we could have a GC get together for lunch :)

Free tour of Zigs plot and greenhouse should take up a few minutes of the day too :snorky:

I normally recoup all of my travel/camping expenses by bringing home a couple of 40L electric chiller boxes laden with filleted fish, caught from the beach early morning before the car parking charges kick in.

I recoup mine by pretending to be the bloke that takes the money for camping :heehee:

Wherever Scrunge goes, an inverter is sure to follow

You probably know that with runner beans, if they're not straight enough, you can straighten them a bit by wrapping them tightly in a damp teacloth. :blue thumb: That's a good way of storing them, in a fridge, anyway if you've picked them some days beforehand.

I pick them when they are ready for picking even if it's a week before. Each day I pick and sort suitable ones, wrap them, and then take the best six on the day.

We, of course, have a slight advantage when it comes to a choice of runner beans. :snorky:

Got any tips for rehydrating skin on garlic? :yikes:
