If they where anything like my cats where, there would be more wildlife in the house than I wanted:yikes: the amount of times I've tried to rescue a field mouse!!!

@Loki . Tommy, our first cat was the worst. He was such a placid, loving soul that you wouldn't think he had it in him. But yes, he was the most prolific of hunters. Small birds, mice and rabbits were served up on a regular basis. He was so prolific that we had to start shutting him out at night. We have a cat/dog flap in our end place. At night we would wedge the inner door so he couldn't enter the house bus still had a shelter from inclement weather. To my recollection his most impressive kills were a rat (yuck), a duck and a squirrel. Huh? How do you take down a squirrel? Very impressive. Sadly Tommy was killed on the road last October.

With Belle, the cat in my profile picture it's different Anything she kills (still birds, mice and rabbits), she leaves outside - then the dog brings them in. Little ####. Animals eh? Who would have them. The worst we wake up to nowadays is the odd bit of mouse offal. Still yucky but not so difficult to clean away.

      G.

Mouse offal:mute: been greeted by that, not nice.
Tommy sounds like he was a character!
I've had cats scared of butterflies, but mousers, cats who think they're gods gift but scared of they're own shadow! :noidea:
        I love them all:)

I have a very large spider that lives behind the picture on the wall behind my computer screen.

I don't know how long they live but he's been there a couple of years. He's not really a pet but I talk to him when he pops out for a peek at me. :heehee:

I've got no idea what he lives on but I often see him wandering around the upper parts of the walls and on the ceiling.

Such well trained and lucky dogs @Logan , you should be proud:doggieshmooze:
If you lived nearby I think I'd ask you to teach mine some manners!
I did take her to puppy training, she was brill, top of the class:pathd: then when at home.......
To many different voices and commands:dunno:
                She suddenly became 'his' dog!
They say border collies are intelligent, I'm not saying they're not, but she is good at playing dumb with me and obeys his commands!!!
I can't take her out because she pulls me, if off lead, she leaves me and goes home :ouch1:
Once she pulled that hard I was left with the lead and remaining collar! I was at a beach, miles from home and at the top of a notoriously busy road:sad:
She survived, luckily, my nerves and embarrassment took a while :rolleyespink:
Anyway, always good to see the dogs:blue thumb::wub2:

@Loki thanks. It's like that sometimes, a man's voice is so much more powerful. You have to change your voice to a more powerful one. It takes practice. But keep at it. If you have trouble with walking, try a head collar. You will still have to give commands. Collies learn quickly and they can learn the wrong things. But keep at it.

It's because they are so clever and so stubborn-Collies can easily manipulate you. Lol. Ours play us off against each other and between themselves. Dave wins on all commands above me but if theyre scared of anything they rush to me for love and cuddles etc. Lol.

We are teaching Bea different names of different toys at the minute. She knows "toys" are in the "box" and there is a "ball" an "angry bird" and a "tugger".

(bea with her strawbs on a string lol)

                            IMG_8021.JPG
(dotty, bea's mum is only just learning what it is to play)

Dotty actully learns from Bea how to play as she has never know what it is. It's been lovely seeing her blossom over the last 2 years.

Dotty is incredibly stubborn and will only do what she wants when she is ready....but luckily (when cats are not involved) she is actually really good.

Bea has a "crate" to sleep in at night as she has a destructive side and could have easily got herself into danger. I was completely against her having a crate but she actually loves it-the door is always open for her and its her place to go in and out. If the door has shut she will try and open it to get in.

Bea is definitely a creature of habit and loves routine. Every morning she gets up and before going to the toilet she HAS to come up to me (still in bed) to say hello and have a tickles/lick my hand and only then will she go outside...she will not go if she hasnt seen me lol.

At bedtime they know its "bedtime wee wees" and then straight into their bedroom with Dotty's double bed lol and Bea's crate. If I have spent too much time outside pottering in the garden Bea will come outside and woo woo at me to tell me it's time to come in.
More recently, Dotty came out and woo wooed me to come in! She has never ever done that before-usually always Bea's job. Lol.

                            Love doggies!

Lovely dogs! Yes, I used to a crate when we got Rosie to be a safe place for her as she chewed a lot. They seem to like having their own space. Like you we left it with the door open all day for her to come and go as she liked, just closing it if I was going out, and over night. We still use them in the car :)

You must be referring to me as I am the King of all rabbits and all humans and the Lord of all cats. The cat's basket is now my basket and he will not dare to try and take it back.
